|

Did anyone see it? This morning Condoleeza Rice was on the Today Show, and interviewed by Katie Couric. The entire interview was a negative attack on the war in Iraq. Every single question had a negative spin on what the 'people' are thinking. Don't speak for me, Couric!
She even went as far as to say (paraphrasing) 'it must be difficult for you to see things in shambles.' I am trying to find a transcript.

I found video of the Couric/Rice interview. Had to go all the way around the barn to get through the barn door, though...and I do not know how to get a direct link to the video...Sorry!

Condoleeza Rice is a pure genius - - She will make an excellent Vice President!!
"For 60 years, my country, the United States, pursued stability at the expense of democracy in this region, here in the Middle East, and we achieved neither," Rice said. "Now, we are taking a different course. We are supporting the democratic aspirations of all people."
"Throughout the Middle East the fear of free of choices can no longer justify the denial of liberty. It is time to abandon the excuses that are made to avoid the hard work of democracy," Rice said.

Secretary Rice is wonderful!
And if that last statement doesn't shine like a billion-megawatt beacon of hope among the entire middle east right now, I sure can't imagine what could!
Screw the talking heads and all their blaTHer about "what Bush needs to do, tonight." Cutie Katie was her usual despicable self. This is the woman who cried on camera when Bush was elected. Is it any surprise that she would attack someone so faithful to defending America's interests?
What an insignificant and irrelevant little twit Couric has made of herself over the years. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Thank you Becca! That interview had me steaming. Cutie katie (thanks Navy ) is wearing out her welcome on morning tv super fast. Usually they throw in a decent question, just to confuse people into thinking they are supportive, but I kept waiting and it didn't come. Sec. Rice handled herself beautifully, much better most could have done under that attack. |

She has the kind of grace under fire that only comes from knowing your schtuff, cold.
I never watch an interview with her but that I'm not cheering at her intelligence and gracefulness.
And for contrast, Couric gets visibly upset and turns into a bully when it's apparent that she's not rattling any cages. I friggin' love it! _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~
