Talk show hosts who will be making the trek to Baghdad include nationally syndicated talk show host, Dennis Prager (based at NewsTalk 870 KRLA - Los Angeles, CA); nationally syndicated talk show host Lars Larson (based from NewsRadio 750 KXL in Portand, OR); Melanie Morgan of powerhouse KSFO 560 AM (San Francisco); Mark Williams of Sacramento, CA’s #1-rated radio station, KFBK 1530; Michael Graham of NewsTalk 630 WMAL (Washington, DC); Martha Zoller of Newstalk 550 WDUN (Atlanta-Gainesville, GA) as well as the RighTalk Radio Network; and Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson, host of “The Buzz Cut” on the RighTalk Radio Network.

“We’re looking forward to taking our medium to Baghdad and blowing the lid off of the other half of the Iraq story that the mainstream media refuses to cover—success, progress, democracy and freedom,” said Morgan.

Update here: (liberals in the media aren't happy about this...)

Thoughts before "Voices of Soldiers" Truth Tour

Brad Maaske of the Iraqi Truth Project and talk radio host and producer with KMJ 580 AM in Fresno, will be joining us for the “Voices of Soldiers” Truth Tour. I wanted to share with you some of his thoughts as he prepares to make the journey over to Iraq to allow our soldiers and Marines to have their voices be heard - without distortion or filtering by certain old line biased media outlets…

My last minute thoughts on our trip.

On this 4th of July as I am taking care of last minute details and packing for my trip to Baghdad, I was sent a copy of a news story calling our “Voices of the Soldiers” tour a “propaganda tour”, and once again I am torn by the divide in our nation over the Iraqi war. In the news article “left” leaning journalists contend that anyone who is not of “their mind set”, meaning anti-war, anti-Bush, can’t report fairly about the war in Iraq and the War on Terrorism.

In my real estate sales training classes I teach that every person sees the world through their box. (Which is of course where we get the phrase “get out of the box”). Every persons box is made up of their beliefs, judgments, experiences and education. It is why if there is a traffic accident and you ask three people about the accident, you will get three, often conflicting stories about the same event. What disturbs me about the “left” leaning journalists is their contention, that if you are not against the war, against our foreign policy and against President Bush, your point of view is not valid.

I teach my agents that people can never change their lives if they do not get out of the box. They will make the same mistakes over and over again, always ending up with the same lot in their life they started with. Getting out of the box means we concentrate on “what could be”, instead of making judgments and getting bogged down with all the obstacles in life, which prevent things from changing.

President Bush has set upon a historic course of action with his “Bush Doctrine”. The thought that people in the Middle East can self govern, without fascist or religious zealots controlling their lives seems unbelievable or unrealistic to these left leaning journalists. The thought that Muslims might enjoy the same freedoms as Americans enjoy seems to be a childish unrealistic goal to these same people. And the thought that the Iraqis might welcome some intervention into their lives to help stop the long brutal, murderous reign of Saddam Hussein seems to be inconceivable to them.

The “what could be” is so important in this war. A pro-US Democracy in the Middle East! Millions of people freed from centuries of repression and torture. I so hope and pray that those within our own country quit attacking us from within and begin to concentrate on the “What Could Be!”

I am tired of seeing the news as filtered through the lens and brain of a cameraman who was against the war, against the Bush Doctrine and not very proud of the things that America has done. I welcome the chance to see it first hand. To see why all the reports I receive from Iraqis and soldiers with their boots on the ground is so different from what I see and read in the mainstream media.

As I a finishing the final tasks to get ready for this trip, my wife and children are worried about me. I can’t say I don’t have apprehensions as well. I will make no bold claims about this trip. I will let the results speak for themselves. I will attempt to get the voice of the soldiers and some of the Iraqis out to the American People. I believe they deserve a chance to see things filtered through the lens and brain of a pro-America, pro-military and pro-Iraqi cameraman. If this is considered to be propaganda, then what is the reporting they have been doing called?

God Bless America and have a happy Fourth of July.
