ANTI-KERRY VETS HANG TOUGH
Fri Aug 06 2004 13:37:12 ET

The following statement from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth concerns an article appearing in morning edition of the BOSTON GLOBE, written by GLOBE reporter and author of the coming Kerry-Edwards campaign book, Mike Kranish.

"Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in today’s edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that he ad be played.

“Additional documentation will follow.

"The article by Mr. Kranish is particularly surprising given page 102 of Mr. Kranish’s own book quoting John Kerry as acknowledging that he killed a single, wounded, fleeing Viet Cong soldier whom he was afraid would turn around.

"Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has more than 250 supporters who are revealing first hand, eyewitness accounts of numerous incidents concerning John Kerry’s military service record. The organization will continue to discuss much of what John Kerry has reported as fact concerning his four-month tour of duty in Vietnam."

Rush just reported that the Boston Globe writer who wrote the article about George Elliot is writing the official Kerry-Edwards Campaign Biography. Conflict of Interest maybe? How about full disclosure. How is this guy going to be objective when he stands to make significant money if Kerry is elected?

BOSTON GLOBE 'REPORTER' PAID TO WRITE CAMPAIGN BOOK FORWARD WHILE COVERING KERRY

BOSTON GLOBE reporter Mike Kranish made waves on Friday by reporting "a key figure in the anti-Kerry campaign, Kerry's former commanding officer, backed off one of the key contentions."

But Captain George Elliott claims the Kranish article is "extremely inaccurate" and highly misstated his actual views.

Oddly, journalist Kranish has been commissioned to write the forward of the official Kerry-Edwards campaign book -- just as he is covering the campaign in an official capacity as a journalist for the BOSTON GLOBE!

Hang tough,

The road will get a lot rougher. The Democrats (pun intended) have to squash the ad, the book and this web page.

Thank God for your page and bloggers who will not let this story be killed by the Major News (Non news) media.

Boston Globe, Ny Times, Cnn, ABC,NBC,CBS, Washington Post will try everything they can to distort message.

By the way, what's up with Bill O'Rielly. He doesn't like the story, but said he would debate on the swifties. Are there plans for one to appear on his show?

I agree with you. It's going to be tough for these brave men.

I think Orielly has always been a sissy when he speak to a huge Democrat supporter as he did last night. He allowed that guy to make this a Bush-Kerry issue. This is not a Bush-Kerry issue, this is a Kerry-Vietnam Veterans issue. If Orielly had some guts he would have said so. Then he said it was a bad move for the Bush campaign? Rolling Eyes

Good Luck Swiftvets! Smile

Thank you God! and please continue to bless these men with strength and courage.

Gentlemen, please know that I am so very thankful for your efforts. My prayers and support are, and will continue to be, with you.

I have no doubt that they will do their darndest to shut down this site. In fact, for a few hours this morning I was unable to access the site and became worried. (This has happened in the past with WorldNetDaily.) I'd like you to know that I immediately sent messages to Drudge, NewsMax, etc. because if THAT was the case, I wanted all of their attempts to "muzzle" our freedom of speech to be reported to the public.

Still don't quite understand why they aren't outraged and calling for the silence Michael Moore if they're so concerned about libel, slanderous statements, and outright lies. NOT!!

Peace be with you and, once more, thanks for "fighting" for us again!

Here's a link regarding Elliott's refutation of the Kranish article:

It includes a copy of Elliott's sworn affidavit!\

If the book is squashed by the Leftist Thought Police, release it as a free Word or text document AND WATCH IT SPREAD AROUND THE INTERNET like wildfire! (In fact, that would not be a bad idea in any case).

If that happens, there are literally hundreds of ISP's who will set up a another site for a modest fee.

In fact, anyone with an AOL account can set up a blog for free (no additional charge). AOL keyword: blog .

It is my opinion that the Internet will do two things:

1. eliminate censorship (this can be good or bad, e.g., porn sites).
2. eliminate the opportunity for politicians to vary their story from one moment to the next (a.k.a. flip-flop) without instant worldwide detection.

What's amazing is that politicians simply don't realize that an increasing number of people are on the web and learning how to retrieve information from what is becoming a "world library computer" via search engines.

And just think - one of them, Al Gore, "invented" the Internet! Twisted Evil
