Two days ago, I was flipping channels and went by MSNBC and caught a little snippet of a report that said that Dick Durbin, Jay Rockefeller and another senator whose name I didn't catch were all under a criminal investigation for talking openly on the floor of the Senate about an ongoing undercover CIA operation that was intended to spy on terriost cells. The operation is now useless because the terrorists know about it because of these three senators talking.
I figured Fox would be all over it later that night but haven't heard one word about it since.
I've googled it and yahooed it but can't find anything. Somebody please tell me I wasn't dreaming.

It was regarding a top secret high tech stealth spy satellite system that the klutzes did not like the cost of, So they blabbed it. Criminal activity. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69

Boy I'm glad I am not wandering around in Netherland GM. That's what the report said, they were under criminal investigation.
Wonder why the MSM isn't covering this? As if I have to ask that question.
Here's hoping we may not have to put up with that idiot Durbin helping the enemy out much longer. At least not with the credentials of a U.S. Senator.

Apparently this investigation serious. Lurch, bin Durbin and Rockefeller should have their security clearances withdrawn. Leaker, Leaker, and Leaker, sounds like a good Liberal consulting firm for the DNC. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

Newsmax has picked it up, but I haven't seen anything from the AP as of yet nor have I heard any other from Congress or Joe Wilson crying for them to be "frog marched" out of the Senate
Justice Department Probing Durbin, Rockefeller CIA Leak
Of course, I'm sure when we do hear from the leftstream media, all we will hear is how this is just sour grapes over the high crimes of Karl Rove that have been exposed _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Seems to me that even if the existance of the system was leaked, there's not a lot anyone could do about detecting it while in orbit. Or maybe it already is? |

I see your point, but, but :
The point is that "Top Secret" means "Top Secret". These clowns leaked High Security information. They do not deserve Security clearances, but do deserve punishment. Patrick "Senator Depends" Leahy was kicked off the Senate Intelligence Committee for the same type of irresponsible behavior. As was said in WWII "Loose Lips, Sink ships." But then after Slick Willy, "Loose Lips" dosn't mean the same anymore. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

Found another article that had some more on it.
http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=7519
This article clarified a few points. Like;
Quote: |
The three senators made a variety of disclosures about the program. Rockefeller made a statement on the Senate floor which his staff claims was "fully vetted and approved by security officials." Baloney. According to a congressional source, Rockefeller's statement wasn't cleared with anyone in the Pentagon or CIA, and wasn't checked by the Intelligence Committee majority staff. Whomever "vetted" it isn't clear, but it wasn't done by the proper authorities. |

come on ya'll .... you know this isn't the same!
they didn't leak ANYTHING about anyone's spouse did they?
they probably leaked names and all....that's different....
NOT leaking names is what gets ya in trouble!
did they consult DIRECTLY with the enemy? probably not...just
used air waves to get info to them....again, that's different !
do they hold a high ranking position in the USA? Senator.... Naval Officer - what's the difference there?
again, that IS different than that Rove guy's peon position / title.
When ya get voted into that 'good 'ol boy' club, you have RIGHTS!
and those 'good 'ol boys' will protect whatever Naval Officers or Senators they want to.
rove's mistake? not being friends with Kennedy, Durbin, Leahy, Kerry....etc. _________________ Stevie

Don't get your hopes up over all this. The Congress has been leaking secrets since it was ceated and no sitting member has ever been successfully prosecuted for treason.
They will get a pass on this case also. It is just politics as usual.

This would be significant to a Republican, but business as usual for a Democrat.
Remember Bill and Al gave away the store to China.
