How sad that war protestors are given mention in our news, as are almost every leftist agitator, but our veterans, who fought for those cretins to have that freedom, are insulted or ignored or made out to look like trash.

Mr. Green
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A man who said he was a Vietnam veteran spat tobacco juice in Jane Fonda's face at a Kansas City book signing, calling her a traitor for a trip she made to Hanoi in 1972, police said Wednesday.

The man, 54-year-old Michael Smith, waited in line for about 90 minutes before spitting a "large amount" of tobacco juice into Fonda's face, according to Kansas City police.

Smith was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

The 67-year-old Oscar-winning actress was in town as part of a book-signing tour for her newly released autobiography titled My Life So Far.

In the book, she addresses her position as a polarizing figure for many Vietnam veterans and others outraged by her 1972 trip to Hanoi to oppose the Vietnam war.

During that trip she was photographed laughing as she sat on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft tank.

In an interview with the Kansas City Star, Smith said Fonda was a "traitor" who had been spitting in the faces of war veterans for years.

"There are a lot of veterans who would love to do what I did," the Star quoted Smith as saying.

Thank YOU, Michael Smith.
Thank you for expressing what others of us would do, willingly and without hesitation; regardless of consequences.

She's in the Top 5 on my spit list.

I just may pay her a visit on Monday, May 9th in Cambridge. (spit)

They showed this page, the Jane Fonda Tour appearances on the Swiftvets site, on Access Hollwood tonight. They showed it along with footage of Smith saying why he spit tobacco juice in Jane's face and they told how Jane won't press charges. I would like to know why Access Hollywood did that!

My guess is that they would like to insinuate the Swiftees are somehow behind it. Just my personal guess, mind you.

I don't watch that show so I missed it, but the left will stop at nothing to smear the Swiftees. They especially don't want them able to spring into action again in '08 against sKerry, since it's becoming more and more obvious he is still campaigning.

As for Hanoi Jane not pressing charges, that's her prerogative. But, can you imagine all the bad press that would come out about her activities long ago? Right now, she seems to have it locked in at she sat at an anti-aircraft gun and someone spread false rumors about her. Open it up in court and the whole mess, the truthful mess, comes out to public view.

So, again only my personal guess, she isn't as gracious as the Looney Left thinks, just covering her own scrawny butt Laughing

Jane Fonda meets protests in Texas.

I just thought I would pass on to the Freeper nation, what was shown on local news in the North Texas area a couple of nights ago.

Jane Fonda is on an autograph tour for her lame book. Well, she did a signing at the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, Texas. (Area just north of D/FW Airport).

Two things taken notice of while watching the report.
A) It did not look like the turn out was very good for Janecong.
B) There were protesters at the mall. Protesting against Jane Fonda. Many of them were of Vietnamese decent.
I drove by the area earlier that day and wondered if the news would show it.

Kinda goes with the other protests she is running into on her book trip.

She should expect that since she gave aid and comfort to the enemy.

The Albuquerque station KKOB AM 770 yesterday did two hours of a 99% hit on Fonda's disservice--most callers referring to treason.

Henry Mark Holzer and Erika Holzer, "Aid and Comfort": Jane Fonda in North Vietnam, McFarland & Company, 2002, had their own book-signing at the VFW 307 Montezuma in Santa Fe, attended by the State Republican Chair. The book details the twelve specifically identified broadcasts Fonda made via Radio Hanoi in 1972, six while she was in North Vietnam, six others on a delayed tape basis since her departure July 22, 1972.

Any chance there are new dates out there yet? She really should come through our state so we can show her exactly what we think of her. I wouldn't mind a trip to jail for the satisfaction of spitting on this woman. I would do it in honor of my deceased father who did two tours in Nam. Please let me know if you hear anything else. Sincerely, Julie Harris

Vegetable oil and tours of 'duty'
Oliver North

July 29, 2005

FRANCE -- "Hanoi Jane" Fonda seems to have tired of her moniker. The wilted flower child who firmly established her place in American history when she mounted a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun has decided it's time to teach a whole new generation to blame America first. If she actually goes through with her plans for a new protest movement, she may well become known as "Jihadist Jane." It has a better ring. More alliteration.

Fonda says she wants to criss-cross the nation in a bus powered by vegetable oil, advocating the end of U.S. military operations in Iraq. She's inviting the families of war veterans to ride along as props because, she says, the veterans she met while hawking her autobiography encouraged her to "break her silence."

Unfortunately, her publicists won't give the names of any veterans slated to join her tour, and the only notable encounter she's had with a veteran recently ended with her wiping that wheelchair-bound hero's saliva off her face. "I've decided I'm coming out," she said. "It's another example of the government lying to the American people in order to get us into war." She added that, "It's going to be pretty exciting." Maybe. Fonda recognizes that she carries "a lot of baggage" -- and she wasn't talking about the stuff removed by her plastic surgeon.

Here's a couple of letters in today's Morning News. From these, it would seem she won't enjoy the lavish PR treatment she received in the '70s. And if we get Sgt. Bushra Jabar over here with a couple of our own home grown heroines and have them travel in their own bus everywhere Hussein Jane goes and march with her every time she marches, she and the lib/dem/soc/com/progs might lose this time. To ensure a victory for the Veterans, we could send along folks like Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham and others who know the argument business.

A NEW PROTEST FOR JANE FONDA
Anti-war stance is easy if you can live the life
Re: "Fonda's back on anti-warpath," Wednesday news story.

It would be a good bet that Jane Fonda stands her ground when she is looking at movie scripts, earnings from those performances, book royalties and divorce settlements and that she has someone represent her in those situations. Our soldiers represent us in preserving our way of life because they see it as important, not because they want to go to war. We are fortunate to live as we do with the liberties we have (and she has). These liberties have been fought for over and over. I guess I would be an anti-war advocate if I thought we could get away with it and still live the lives we have come to expect. I do not know Jane Fonda, but what I know about her I don't like. Connie Vinton, McKinney, TX

Fonda pretty choosy in what she will protest
Any sympathy I had for Jane Fonda regarding her aid to the enemy during Vietnam is now gone. All the tears she shed in apologies to those vets mean nothing anymore. The thing is, I missed her protest against stealing airplanes and crashing them into buildings full of innocent people. Or her protest against maiming and murdering people in the soccer fields. Or her protest against homicidal bombers murdering innocent women and children. C. Garner, Dallas, TX

Welcome aboard Julie. We are grateful for your father’s service and now yours. Yes, if Jane makes it into our neck of the woods I would be proud to stand next to you as we give her a gift.

"Fonda's Second Coming Will Be Met With Demand For Accountability
If youthful indiscretion is an excuse Jane Fonda has used to explain her anti-war activities more than 30 years ago, what explanation will she have in her now mature years -- temporary insanity?"
