Laughing SUMMARY: Progressive activists in the United States may be growing
leery and weary of movie actress "Hanoi Jane" Fonda, recently renamed
"Jihad Jane" Fonda.

July 25 ** Poll Jane Fonda anti-war campaign help or hurt?
(Text edited & URL Deleted - PM PhuCat if interested/me#1)

As of August 1, 2005 10:30 A.M. EST this poll shows:
Help 26 votes, 20%
Hurt 87 votes, 67%
Minimal 16 votes 12%

The poll seems to indicate that the typical *DU* user believes Jane Fonda
is an albatross that the antiwar movement cannot afford.

On the other hand, the tone of the comments about Jane Fonda to this DU
poll include so many hateful, childish and ignorant remarks that
outside readers may conclude that the comments accurately reflect the
attitudes and intellectual level of the basic DU user.

This DU poll appears to be a response to two things:

1. Poll: Did Jane Fonda help the North Vietnamese communists?
http://vikingphoenix.com/politics/polls/jfondapoll-1.htm
Results August 1, 2005 10:30 A.M. EST
Yes 78% 1,191 votes
No 22% 330 votes
1,521 votes total

2. Jane Fonda's announcement of the Anti-Iraq War vegetable oil bus
tour on July 25, 2005

I wouldn't consider anything emanating from that source as representative of a "Democrat" view (as your title suggests).

It is interesting but I wouldn't say that I'm surprised. My bet is a majority of those morons live by the "don't trust anyone over 30" dictum. The preponderance are immature, radical "heads-full-of-mush" most of whom never even HEARD of Jane Fonda or what she and Kerry stood for. Hell, they've ALREADY ceded the position that "supporting the troops" is politically mandatory (much as it must gall them). Fonda, for them, is an alien entity...and a political LOSER.

Before this turns into a free-for-all on "that place", I'm locking this topic.

Please feel free to discuss the other links in a new one.
