As the 2008 presidential election approaches, "there are signs" that a McCain-Kerry ticket "could be in the works,"
according to The Hill. "If such an improbable thing comes to pass, its genesis might well be traced back to a one-
on-one breakfast meeting July 27, when the two decorated Vietnam veterans huddled for more than an hour" at
a restaurant on Capitol Hill.

Why would John McCain characterize the SWIFT Boat vets commercial
about John Kerry as "dishonest and dishonorable"?

JOHN McCAIN ON JOHN KERRY
McCain defended Kerry “I am a friend of John Kerry’s.
I think he would be a good president. ...
I think he is resolute, yes. ... I think he is strong enough to be President.”

McCain Thinks Kerry Will Run Again
Sen. John McCain thinks his friend, Sen. John Kerry, is going to run for president in 2008, the Boston Herald reports.
Said McCain: "It's pretty obvious, the way he's acting, he'd like to try it again."
As for McCain's own White House ambitions, McCain said he "absolutely" wants to be president himself but will focus
on the Senate and "wait a couple years" to decide on a 2008 run.

I would not vote for McCain for anything. He lost all my respect when he attacked the swiftvets but never a word against moveon.org or George Soros. _________________ Born to raise a little hell! |

The ONLY way I would ever vote for McCain is if he were running against the Red Queen and there were no other candidates in the box. Senators make lousy presidental candidates as they lack the experience to lead. Governors make good presidential candidates; they have the experience through years of executive decisions, not just going along with the crowd like the senators voting on a pork project. If McCain were to become a running mate with sKerry, then all bets are off, sKerry must NEVER become POTUS. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

Secretary of State used to be the jumping off point for the
Presidency. But that was back in the old days. Maybe we
should go back.
