Dirty scumballs! You know i'm not sure how I would react if it was my family involved. I would most likely be in jail for assault, and the protester would be in the hospital having thier sign removed? _________________ MOPAR-BUYER |

I'm with you, blue.
I cannot imagine what kind of excrement exists in the place where the human heart normally resides with this filthy beast of a "man." Christ must surely have his heart broken to see such hateful people carry on what they call a "Christian" war.
God bless Jeremy Doyle and his family and the town that showed up to see him laid to rest.

When idiots can protest the dead at a funeral and not get their butts tarred and feathered and run out of town we have become waaaaaaayyyyyyyy to civilized for me.
No excuse for scum like that to be able to suck in clean air.
Like the song says, I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.
I'd of had to hurt somebody. Me and Blue would both be in jail. And be damn proud of it too.

Anyone of the Judeo-Christian tradition would be ashamed of these people. Imagine, protesting at a soldier's funeral. That's beyond despicable. I truly believe these people are mentally impaired, with a type of illness that includes viciousness.

Dusty,
I must disagree with you on your "waaaaaaayyyyyyyy to civilized " statement. Civilized people would respect the sanctity of a funeral and pay their respects by either attending and honoring the deceased or just not showing up if they had some issue on contention.
What I see here is nothing more than ill manners and poor upbringing.

Yeah, poor upbringing that needs forceful attention to show that this type lack of manners will not be tolerated. At least not in my presence.
I won't let my neighbor beat his wife when I'm around either.

I do agree that this would be a good opportunity to get rid of a few old feather pillows and some leftover roofing tar. Maybe that's the only thing these creeps understand. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

A real good opportunity BJ.
Leave the Maybe out of that sentence and you hit the nail on the proverbial head.
Was a time when this type of insensitivity and bad behavior would have been met with some very forceful 'attitude adjustment' measures by normally peaceful citizens. That's what I meant by "we've gotten waaaaayyyyy to civilized."
Now when someone does what is obviously 'right', they end up in jail and the idiots are walking around free as birds. (well maybe not walking, maybe laid up in a hospital)
Even so, some things are worth the effort and price.

Stationed at Ft Riley in the mid 90s. Attended a dance performance at K State in Manhattan with my family. It was picketed by this same group from Topeka because some of the dancers were gay. They were carrying the same signs they still carry. We are Evangelical Christians. My young daughters were confused by the behavior and attitudes of these "supposed" Christians. I went out to talk to them. Nothing but hate. I isolated a young person and asked him if he was really happy about what he was doing. Blank stare. An older, very portly lady swooped in to shield him. My satisfaction came from asking her, as I walked away, if homosexuality is any graver a sin than gluttany. The look on her face? Priceless. I think I saw the kid begin to smile. And they got it all on video tape as they record any confrontation to use in court if they have to. |

gee, I'd have had to march over and ask those picketers more about their 'God' .... I don't know that God.... as a CHRISTIAN, I really do
take offense at what they are doing....
no wonder some people turn away from it if they think these people represent it. THEY DO NOT.
There are misguided Christians.... and there are people who think they are Christians and give themselves the 'name' (or title) .... then give the 'name' a bad name....
Me thinks this church needs a letter..... _________________ Stevie
