Imagine the looters predicament and the mind of the reprobate.

Today is Thursday and they have goodies galore. Jewelry & guns are the items of priority and they have filled a good sized room with millions in stolen loot. There is a problem though. On a mad dash to secure these items things such as food and water were placed lower on the priority list and now they are quite thirsty and hungry. Worse yet is the waters they assumed would be gone by now have increased rather then subsided. Some will continue to loot as if nothing can steer their bankrupt thought processes to the matters of importance. The loot is narcotic to a morally weak mind. Others will get clever and turn on a radio and actually listen to AM for more then 5 minutes and realize what they face. There will be no retreat of water. There will be no return to normal, but what course of action to take? Some will have an epiphany and realize this loot cannot be hidden nor can they walk out with it. For this rare class of looter they will walk out of the city with nothing. A feeling of disgust over their actions will settle in and a burden of conscience will occur. Many more though are currently planning the ultimate scheme of hiding the loot for future recovery, not realizing the eventual discovery by others once the city is inspected stone by stone, board by board. Still others will try to walk out of the city, pockets stashed with their bounty only to discover a very long walk filled with many inquisitive encounters. At some point one of these encounters will lead to being discovered as a looter and only then will this last group of looter realize their folly. Soon they will all realize the pointlessness of their actions. A small number will come to realize the immoral breach they traveled, but for most - the reprobate looter will think what could have been.
