From Kristinn at Free Republic:

I just received a phone call from C-SPAN informing me that they will broadcast live in it's entirety the Rally to Honor Military Families this Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. EDT.
We're hoping for a large turnout so our troops overseas will know that what happens the day before the rally with the antiwar crowd does not reflect the majority of the country.
Please join us this Sunday at 4th Street on the National Mall (near the Air & Space Museum) as we pay tribute to military families, and their loved ones serving in our armed forces fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
====
You can view the rally live on regular C-SPAN via your cable TV (or satellite) or at their website:
http://www.c-span.org/watch/cspan1.asp?Cat=TV&Code=CS
(look for the 'WATCH / LISTEN LIVE' link on the right side of the page)

Last night we joined the Anti, anti-war "protesters" at Walter Reed Hospital and it made me so proud to see the incredible support being given to the troops! We were there for two hours and the traffic along Georgia Ave. kept up a constant honking of horns and waving of hands to the folks gathered on our side of the street while the code pink folks stood on the other side. Someone counted 141 supporters of the troops and 101 Code Pink people. There were a number of police there, and I wished we could have been there when the bus pulled in from the weekly dinner trip for the wounded and their families, but we had to leave early. We were told that the Code Pink people would leave early to avoid the soldiers showing their disdain for them, and sure enough, they did leave early.
Tomorrow is the big day with the rally on the mall near the Air and Space Museum, and I hope many of you are planning to attend! The media is all concentrating on Cindy Sheehan and they say 100,000 are going to be there to protest the war. Well, I hope more than that will show up to show support for the troops and their mission!

Wow, Kate! Thanks for the link to the photo-blog! I just sent one of the pictures to our son in Iraq asking if he could identify the white-haired woman in one of the pictures--me!!! Those photos show it all! What an evening it was, and I'm eager to return next Friday night!

Just got home from mass and tuned in.
What a difference between this rally and yesterday's putrid mess.
Thank you to all who have organized and supported and participated in this rally! _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Parents of the fallen speaking.
And sadly...... here come the moonbats to disrupt this show of love for country and our troops and their families.
They did this at the Stolen Honor rally, too.
Reminds me of that Phelps character. When will the moonbats learn that they persuade people against them with these types of antics?
Pray for them.
Far more honor shown for Casey Sheehan in this demonstration than has been shown by his own mother and sister! Oh, dear Lord, the goodness and generosity of those who have had their sacrifices spit upon is amazing. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Gathering from the drop in traffic here, we're all glued to CSPAN.
I just have to say I met Kristin Taylor last year during the SwiftBoat Rally that wasn't. He welcomed me to DC and we ran up a $150 bar bill. He's making me proud today and I'm happy to report I picked up that tab. _________________ "KILL ALL THE LAWYERS!"

The Iraqis speaking were impressive. I didn't watch yesterdays anti-American rally, but I didn't hear of any Iraqis supporting their side, unless you can count insurgents. |

Loved seeing all of the pictures--especially the one with our own "Navy Wife" in it. She and hubby are coming over to visit next week for a few days so we'll get to hear all of the details in person. Can't wait!!

Kevin Martin was one of the more "entertaining" speakers and it was nice to hear from Sgt. Todd Bowers.

Bless them one and all....
and the Brit, Osborn-- wonder if he came over just for this rally? If he he did....kudos for him
paraphrase:
Quote: | glad to be here, sad that he needs to be here.
Because of professional protestors, who move seamlessly from one protest to another,
and the 24 hr MSM who look to report on those who hate their country, rather than those who love their country.
wonders how WW2 could have been fought is Churchill has to worry about focus groups, polls and approval ratings. |
