I'll try to post the URL for this below (mods please fix if you can; it's too long). But this is just too good not to excerpt and post here:

Kerry takes on Schwarzenegger over union power By Dan Whitcomb
Thu Oct 13, 8:55 PM ET

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Sen. John Kerry, losing Democratic U.S. presidential candidate in 2004 and a possible contender in 2008, took on Republican California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday by lobbying against his initiative to curb the power of the state's labor unions.

Kerry was the second leading national politician this week to weigh in on California's Prop. 75 ballot initiative, which would require unions to get approval from members before using dues for political causes.

"This represents part of an ongoing effort by the Republican Party to create an unfair playing field, to change the balance of democracy in America," Kerry said.

"They are willing to try to take away the democratic rights of working Americans," said the Massachusetts senator, who was speaking to reporters at a fire station with Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record), also seen as a possible presidential challenger in 2008, had appeared with Schwarzenegger to campaign for the initiative on Monday.

Democrats have criticized McCain as an out-of-state politician who had no business telling Californians how to vote but Kerry, asked about the same issue, said the ballot measure had national ramifications....

What???? Read that again! sKerry says that it's taking away democratic rights of working American to require them to vote on the use of their union dues!!! You know, I'm almost embarrased for the clown. Embarassed

The dumdocrates are running scared. They saw what happened

in the state of Wash. when we passed one like it here. The teachers union

lost 60 percent of their PAC money for the DUMOCRATES.

Reason enougth?

Lets be realistic here, 50% of the democrat base is on welfare, 30% are rich, that leaves 20% that run the unions speaking for the working Republicans by giving their dues to the democrats without consent. Prop 75 is in the pass mode, it has tremendous support. I don't think that any union money should go to either party, unions are in bed with the democrats. Skilled labor hasn't gotten a pay raise since the 70's. The democrats have not done a thing for the working man with that money. In fact they have hurt us, NAFTA Clintons outsourcing of our jobs. Republicans are constantly bashed by the unions unfairly, so we won't get any help there either. Unions need to be unbiased and independent, working for us not the DNC. We all know who the teachers are for, they preach the world in their view to our kids. If this passes as I assume it will, the DNC will squeal like pigs. They will go to Court and try to silence our voice, normal routine. Everytime we pass a proposition that they don't like we end up spending millions in Court listening to their drivel, the liberal Court overrules the people and strikes it down. The 9th circus of appeals will affirm. Filthy as it is, thats the reality until we get the Courts back. Freedom of speech only applies to democrats in their view, and a vote means nothing unless it is for them.

Neither Lurch nor the Cape Cod Orca ever had a real job in their lives. A life of liesure and Noblese Oblige are more important to either of them.
