|
|
On Rush this morning, a caller remembers that Kerry mentioned the name of a covert CIA agent during the hearings to confirm John Bolton for UN Ambassador.
Kerry (and Senator Lugar) apparently did blurt out the name of an agent which the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee had heretofore protected, calling him "Mr. Smith" in the proceedings.
Apparently, the agent named was not covert as discussed in this "Outside the Beltway" piece examining the situation at the time:

Just wanted to bring this up before a big flap ensues here. Rush stated that we Republicans don't ask for special prosecuters, rather, we fight perps at the ballot box, perhaps leaving the impression that a true 'outing' was overlooked.

After reading the thread it appears, Skerry did about the same thing as the Fitgerald investigation that went after Libby and Rove for.
Plame was not covert, Armstrong was not covert.
I am sure there are plenty of lies that Skerry can be found to have said to reporters, to the American People. I think it only fair that a special prosecutor investigate SKerry and the release of Armstrongs name and the subsequent lies in his campaign. _________________ Air Force Vet
