Kerry did too and it is not going to work for her.

The last Senator to win an election to POTUS was John Kennedy and I hope it stays that way for a least through the next election. A Senator had too many voting records that they have to answer for their decisions and voting records. Plus, Hillary has to answer for her husband ? and their decision to be somewhat removed from anything involving the Military and his indiscrestions that she seem to approve or ignore of his actions with the Swallower Monica.

When a person becomes a senator they give up the right to become a president. This was by design by our founding fathers and quite brilliant, yet the people who quest for power only often miss this as Hillary in her poor knowledge of history reflects. It will be a good fight come 08', but Hillary will be destroyed and quite possibly in the primaries as Howard Dean was.

There is a desire for people of character as leaders and it will probably rear its beautiful head come 08'.

Not many sitting Senators have taken the big prize in history for several reasons:

They screwed a bunch of people on the way up both figuratively and literally.

Unfortunately the Congressional Record is published showing their votes, payoffs and documented lack of productivity (How many bills did Kerry sponsor or write?).

Most of them are lawyers who are basically an untrustworthy lot as a whole.

Only a few are highly decorated war heroes like Senator Kerry and McCain and thus have little or no knowledge of military operations, tactics or protocols, except what is fed to them by their staffers. Not good for a future Commander in Chief.

Every Senator has at least some skeletons in the closet that raise their ugly head around the end of October each election year (the exception being the Commonwealth of Mass. Where it is considered business as usual).

Most Senators have had an over abundance of media time and the American people have seen them when the give “the Deer in the headlights” stare when asked a tough question. They also have documented televised statements that lock them into a position with the public.

Finally their largest obstacle to the throne of President; Al Gore’s invention the Internet of which they all run in fear from. Bloggers have exercised their free speech rights and held accountable these Charlatans for their actions. Case in point, Swiftvets that completely undermined the ability of the anti-Christ to be President.

Does this mean that Military absentee ballots will now be accepted instead of challanged by the Libs?

Historically, sitting Senators are not elected to POTUS. 2 in the 20th Century. A candidate for POTUS has generally had executive experience notably as Governor. Veeps are are also not generally as a rule elected to succeed a President. Leadership capacity is the major factor. The entire Senate seems bent on running for President when they ought to be doing Senate business, not kibitzzing trying to run the country.

I have posted this in the past, but it is relevent here as well!

During the Clinton administration, military personnel were discouraged frm wearing uniforms in the Whitehouse, unless absolutely necessary. The rule was that if you had to wear a uniform, and were to pass Hillary in the hall, you had to duck into the nearest office. If there was no office to duck into, you were to avoid making eye contact with her. She also berated an officer for saying good morning as they passed. He was instructed to never speak to her unless spoken to.

Please pass this along to anyone you know that is currently, or has in the past, served in the military. She is now trying to portray herself as pro military for purely political reasons. She will vote as such, act as such and speak as such until she is elected prsident. She must be stopped!

FreeFall,

Listening to Shrillary scream "I am sick and tired...[fill in latest disease here]" again, for more than a few seconds is more than I can handle....at least sKerry is 'sonorous':

Quote:
It must be awful lonely being Joe Lieberman in the Democratic Party these days. Every time he switches on the news there's John Kerry sonorously droning out his latest pretzel of a position

Quote:
Insofar as I understand it, he's not calling for a firm 100 percent fixed date of withdrawal -- like, say, Feb. 4, 2 p.m.; meet at Baghdad bus station with two pieces of carry-on. Don't worry, it's not like flying coach on TWA, you'd be able to change the date without paying a surcharge. But Kerry drones that we need to "set benchmarks" for the "transfer of authority." Actually, the administration's been doing that for two years -- setting dates for the return of sovereignty, for electing a national assembly, for approving a constitution, etc, and meeting all of them. And all during those same two years Kerry and his fellow Democrats have huffed that these dates are far too premature, the Iraqis aren't in a position to take over, hold an election, whatever. The Defeaticrats were against the benchmarks before they were for them.

just thinking of pretzels makes me hungry, but you should read more of Mark Steyn's excellent analysis of the "Defeaticrat Party" turning Victory into Defeat (a la Tet Offensive) at:

Listening to Shrillery is like listening to the non-stop haranging of my Ex-wife. If many of the 'angry' males in the electorate have this same impression, she is toast. Even the women will be turned off. The shrewish shriek of the sheLib. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

The biggest mistake that we could make would be to underestimate how conniving and underhanded her and "Slick Willy" can be. When you will say or do anything necessary, no matter how dishonest, you can fool lots of people.

Don't blame them for getting bamboozled. She is a most cunning liar. Most Americans, not just military personnel, have short memories when it comes to politics. They are also constantly exposed to the lies that a biased media constantly foist on the American public. A biased media that is in love with Hillarious and Bill Clinton. It is up to blogs and sites like this, and those who visit them, to make sure the truth is spread. The way it happened to Monsieur Kerry.

I do not believe the military has short memories when it comes the The Red Queen and her consort Slick Willy. Hildebeast believes the old Socialist dogma that "The masses are asses." It doesn't make muster. That's why it is imperative to have an informed electorate.
