Quote: | TORONTO, Ontario (AP)
-- Canadian officials, seeking to make sense of another fatal shooting in what has been a record year for gun-related deaths, said Tuesday that along with a host of social ills, part of the problem stemmed from what they said was the United States exporting its violence. |
The whole story here: cNN
Hmm, can see where this is going (has been going for decades...)

Typical LIBERAL attitude! Blame anyone but yourself.
Canada wouldn't have the problems it has without its liberal immigration policy. They let anyone in for any reason. If you can't get into the United States then you go to Canada and sneak across the border to the USA, or just stay in Canada and rile up the locals.
They also have a super liberal policy concerning sex and violence at the local level. Their border towns are awash with strip clubs and every sort of debauchery, so much so that a lap dance in the clubs is now referred to as the "Canadian Ballet". These establishments are magnets for trash and trouble.
Before the Canadians point the finger at the USA, they need to look to why these problems are tolerated. The USA side of the border doesn't have the quantity of tawdry establishments that exist on the Northern side of the border. Why?
One word.

Out of all that was said.. I think this one irritated me most:
Quote: | "The U.S. is exporting its problem of violence to the streets of Toronto," he said. |
Their socialist regime will never be able to hold up at this rate...
There is so much failure in their 'healthcare' and 'welfare' it is pitiful.... but they can't seem to hold up to their responsibilities..
I had to sit and listen to a Brit (who always puts the USA down) argue with me about America being a failure... even going as far as trying to push a conspiracy of USA actually landing on the moon... I tried to explain to him how the physics work (he majored in physics >.<) and that the flag on the moon had wire to hold it out... He kept asking why it was 'fluttering'...
was a losing battle with him (as is every 'debate' about USA is)...
EDIT:
Oh, I forgot to mention that he said Area 51 was created to fake the moon landing |

Did you ask him where the 360 foot tall Saturn 5 rockets that thundered off from the Cape went? Quite an elaborate prop for a hoax, I'd say. Next time you talk, tell him you found out that, in addition to the moon landing being a hoax, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were both filmed at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood and those A-bomb things don't really work, either. That ought to spin the moron up pretty tight. |

Canada reminds me of the movie, "The Mouse That Roared".
Canada's plan for eliminating pedafilia in one fell swoop. Lower the age of consent to birth.
Canada's plan for missile defense. DUCK!
Canada's plan for welfare reform. Give the Eastern Provinces back to France since they speak the language anyway.
Canada's plan for political reform. NONE!
Canada's plan for fighting terrorism. Issue them all visas and ask them to tour the USA.
Canada's plan for defense of an invasion by the USA. Surrender Immediately!
I could go on and on but I need some help here. _________________ Retired AF E-8

The problem appears the country is being run by the French or rather their Quebec contingent. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

THIS is how the Brit I was telling you thinks...
Top 10 Reasons for being American
1. You can have a woman president without electing her.
2. You can spell colour wrong and get away with it.
3. You can call Budweiser beer.
4. You can be a crook and still be president.
5. If you have enough money you can be elected to do anything.
6. If you can breath you can get a gun.
7. You can invent a new public holiday every year.
8. You can play golf in the most hideous clothes ever made and nobody seems to care.
9. You get to call everyone you've ever met "Buddy".
10.You can think you're the greatest nation on earth.
11.When you're not.
12.At all.
I will fill in most of the detail if you care to read more, but fair warning.. not all of the words are kind... well, actually, none are:

The rest, you can figure out, but didn't want a direct link from this great site.
wondering about #1... think they are talking about hjildabeast?

I have a pediatrician friend who lived through the Hiroshima attack as a little boy. Perhaps he just imagined losing a large number of his relatives.
He has no regrets and actually thinks that in spite of the large number of casualties, the bomb probably save more lives on both sides than if it had not been used and an invasion had taken place instead. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

I'm sure he wasn't trying to make a joke out of it
And I feel the same way; if we didn't do it, then it would have been much worse than it would have been... the worst part about that is that it was mostly civilians...
Just read an article about something I didn't know about the bombs... Nagasaki wasn't the origional target, but because of the weather the main target couldn't be hit (cloudy at a low ceiling)... |

Canada has decided to contribute to the war effort -- they are sending 2 Battle Ships, 6000 Soldiers & 10 Jet Fighters.
(Because of the exchange rate, that comes out
to two canoes, a mounty, and a couple of flying squirrels.)

Sorry USA the Mounty is unavailable. He was waiting three years for emergency surgery and unfortunately died.
The flying squirrels were found to be of the same sex and lovers, so were granted an immediate same sex marriage. Married couples are grounded in the RCAF.
The canoes are available but they are located up the Saint Lawrence River with no paddles.

Believe me, I wasn't making a joke out of it, I was just pointing out the idiocy of these "history revisionists". I had an uncle that was in Manila preparing for the invasion of Japan at the time, also, who's life was saved by those bombs, and I'd agree, they saved a LOT more lives than they took.
Here's a link to the bombing order, and the original 4 targets. They wanted a visual drop, so if a primary was obscured, they delivered on the secondary.

In the South Park movie, a Canadian tv show is blamed for the kids in the US misbehaving and getting into trouble. Instead of taking responsibility for using the tv as a surogate parent, the people of the US decide that it is better have a scapegoat and instead "Blame Canada!"
What is hilarious about all of this, is that here it was a spoof, a joke, but in the real world, Canada actually did it. When a government decides to take it's cues from South Park, it is in deep dodo. _________________ John Kerry. A Neville Chamberlain for our times. |

There are a lot of mid and western province Canadiens who want to be annexed by the US.
Might sound crazy, but I see most of Canada becoming Americas 51-53 states within the next 20 years. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."
