CINDY SHEEHAN ON THE AUCTION BLOCK
By Michelle Malkin · February 09, 2006 07:46 AM
Look, she's for sale on eBay:
I don't think this is a joke.
The proceeds, if there are any, will apparently go to the YearlyKos, which is welcoming Sen. Minority Leader Harry Reid to its first conference later this summer in Las Vegas.

The eBay auction site is HERE
There are now 4 bidders and the price is up to $1,025 and the shipping is free! Better hurry.

EDIT: This notification in on the auction site:
* Note: Because of the obvious potential for right-wing shenanigans, Cindy retains the right to refuse to speak to groups antithetical to her cause or offensive to her beliefs. If no group can be agreed upon, the winning bidder will receive a full refund.

The bidders would have been better to to bid on a dried up grilled cheese sandwich with a picture of anyone on the crust. Just shows some people have more money than sense. |

FYI, the eBay seller of this golden opportunity is "yearlykos" which is an organization of the readers of the Daily Kos, probably the most virulent anti-Bush blog in existence. YearlyKos is holding a convention in Las Vegas on June 8-11 '06.
They have secured Harry Reid for a speaker and are trying to attract Bill Richardson, governor of New Mexico. In tracking that down, I ran across probably the most bizarre description of Reid I have ever seen. It was made by Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, who is Kos (from his first name):
Quote: | "Senator Reid's popularity in the netroots, despite being a moderate-to-conservative Democrat, is proof that we aren't about ideology," said Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas. "Rather, we rally around leaders who aren't afraid of their own shadows, aren't afraid of their convictions, and aren't afraid to take the battle to the corrupt neocons, theocons, and corporate cons who are misgoverning our country." | (emphasis mine)

Anyway, USAFE5, here's your chance to drop over to the convention (Cindy surely will be there) and represent us as the SwiftVets delegate.

P.S. The bidding is up to $1,100. _________________ Capt, 8th U.S. Army, Korea '53 - '54 |

Riviera. Probably flying in on a single-passenger broom. Exempt from TSA.

Cindys son is always referred to as the son of the anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan and not by name or else we might create the thought of a human being with a life and purpose who died while serving something greater than himself.
We acknowledge, appreciate and remember your ultimate sacrifice.
God rest your soul Casey. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

Should I make a sign saying thank you Casey? His service I will not disrespect no matter how much I abhore his mother's actions. _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Ronald Reagan |

As of this morning, eBay has pulled the listing. 'Move on, folks, nothing to see here.'
