Exactly!

It's like they just want to make sure that their abductors are not blamed.

The death penalty is too good for this scum of the Earth. I would rather see a life sentence without the possibility of parole for each death at the WTC, of course served consecutively.

Richard Reid needs to be tried on the new charges he was implicated in planning to commit with Moussaoui.

Now where to stick a terrorist so you provide him with a feeling of terror for the rest of his life?

In the middle of an Iowa Hog Farm while he is surrounded by a minefield.

Cool Cool Cool

Well, the jury found Moussaoui needle-qualified today and next comes testimony by relatives of 9/11 victims.

It will be interesting to see how Clinton-appointed Judge Brinkema comes down on the sentencing. Since the White House today expressed satisfaction with the death enablement, maybe she'll go for life just out of spite.

Judge Napolitano (Fox News) gave a pretty graphic description of the maximum security federal prison in Colorado to which the creep would be sent in case of a life sentence. He would be 60 feet underground in a solitary confinement cell without any natural light, there to remain until he comes out on a gurney in a body bag. That beats even the Pelican Bay SHU.

Things change. Judges grant new trials and governors or presidents grant pardons or commute sentences. A carried out death penalty means never having to say you are sorry they got out and offended the public again.

Needle-qualified but no needle. This is where he's going:

Quote:
The United States Penitentiary Administrative Maximum Facility (ADX) in Florence is a supermax prison in Florence, Colorado. Also known unofficially as ADX Florence, Florence ADMAX, Supermax, or the Alcatraz of the Rockies, it is operated by the federal government. A part of the Florence Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) in Florence, Colorado, it houses only the most dangerous prisoners in need of the tightest control.

Many have argued that the psychological effects of long-term solitary confinement can be devastating. Prisoners may suffer from hallucinations, anxiety, problems with impulse control, and self-mutilation. In addition, confinement may encourage anger and rage, resulting in further violence. Depression may set in, with prisoners becoming extremely lethargic, losing memory, and refusing to exercise.

Prisoners have complained about excessive steps taken by guards and officials in these types of facilities to control inmates. Constant surveillance and random searches at the whim of prison staff can be humiliating, and their frequency may be used as methods of intimidation and sleep deprivation.

The maximum security facility at Marion, Illinois, which is the model ADX Florence is based on, has been denounced by Amnesty International for violating the United Nations' Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners.

Sounds about right.

Sometimes I wonder if Islamic Law might be onto something...

May 3, 2006 -- MOGADISHU, Somalia - A 16-year-old boy stabbed his father's killer to death yesterday in a public execution ordered by an Islamic court, witnesses said.

Omar Hussein, 45, was convicted under sharia law of killing teacher Sheik Osman Moallim two months ago after a dispute over Hussein's son's education.

An Islamic court here ordered that Moallim's son, Mohamed, should execute his father's killer in the same manner that the father was murdered.
