It really confuses people if I tell them I grew up on the Navajo Reservation. The last time I spent any time there was 1966 and the last time I drove through the area was 1997. After my sister moved from Grants to Kayenta, Arizona, I had no reason to go back. Things have sure changed. _________________ I was going to become an anarchist, but they had too many rules. |

Well, shucks. I didn't know I was so lucky. I'm from Texas, and everyone knows where that is. They may not know it's one of states in the United States, but there never seems to be any question about where it is. |

Most people don't know that Alaska is on the same continent as the smaller 48.
Then of course, most maps just show us as an island off the coast of California. _________________ A Grunt

Want to get a Texan's goat?
Remind him that if Alaska were cut in half, Texas would be our third largest state _________________ Former "War Criminal" |

Won't work for me, I don't have any goats.

Nope. Don't have any.
That's 'cause I'm originally from Louisiana - born and raised a Cajun from south of I-10 - and since we're talking hypothetically here, IF Louisiana hadn't been divided up into a whole bunch of states, it would put both Texas and Alaska out of the biggest state business.

My relatives in Muskogee told me that Texas was renamed to Baja Oklahoma. _________________ I was going to become an anarchist, but they had too many rules. |

During the run up to the war in Iraq, I was watching a press conference with Colon Powell. An Iraqi reporter asked him "isn't it true that only 13% of young Americans can point out Iraq on a map?" To which he responded "Yes, but unfortunately for you, they are all Marines!" It is a little sad that more emphasis is not placed on Geography, or Civics for that matter, but I thought that Mr. Powells response was pretty funny. |

Tell Colin Powell it's a little known fact that "army" is actually an acronym. |
