Another angry-left response to the notoriously capitalistic (and successful) Wal-Mart...I may have to buy some Wal-Mart stock if just as a show of support for Wal-Mart's standing up to leftist thuggery... (links/emphasis added)

Quote:
'Bunch of Greedy Right-Wing Liars'

(CNSNews.com) - A union-backed group that is fighting a culture war with Wal-Mart has created a new website called -- take a deep breath here -- ABunchOfGreedyRightWingLiarsWhoWorkForWalMart.com. The union-backed group said the new website is intended to respond to "Wal-Mart's vicious 'swift-boat' style attack website," which is called paidcritics.com. The union-backed group says Wal-Mart's "newly hired right-wing operatives" are linked to "some of the most vicious political smear campaigns in American political history, including attacks on John Kerry in the 2004 election, CBS News, and attacks on Democrats in the 2000 Florida Recount." The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that Wal-Mart has just hired a 65-year-old former nun "to help steer the company's policies on the environment, health care and labor relations -- three areas where Wal-Mart's public image has suffered." The former nun, Harriet Hentges, served as chief operating officer of the League of Women Voters before joining the United States Institute of Peace, where she led mediation and reconstruction efforts in Iraq and the Balkans, the newspaper reported.

If Walmart is launching a "swift-boat" style attack, then we can only consider it as being based entirely on the truth and done in an honorable manner. If the lefties don't like it, "Tough!!!"

When these moonbats don't have anything else to offer they will conjure up a "vast right-wing conspiracy" to explain why their logic can get no traction. I'm surprised they didn't mention Karl Rove as the ring-leader of this conspiracy.

Update: Whooops, spoke too soon. On that site, under the link "How Wal-Mart Hurt Our Feelings" (notice it's all about feelings) is this:

Quote:
On July 13, 2006, Wal-Mart, a 300 billion dollar company with 11.2 billion dollars in profits, decided to take a page right out of Karl Rove’s “swift boat” playbook and launched a new vicious attack website...

These moonbats crack me up;

Quote:
Wal-Mart, a company with slowing sales, a terrible public image, awful employee morale, and the cause of so many social woes in America that it’s become a living corporate experiment of how to do things wrong, has decided to attack those folks (meaning us, Democrats, reporters, activists, and little puppies… OK, we are exaggerating about the puppies, but give it time) who want Wal-Mart to be a more responsible company.

Yet, they are first described as:
Quote:
a 300 billion dollar company with 11.2 billion dollars in profits

Sounds to me like they are doing pretty good for having

And, "a more responsible Walmart?"
Quote:
We thought fighting for more affordable health care, a living wage, a better Wal-Mart and a better America were good things.

Here is the crux of it all. A bunch of lefty loons wishing cradle to grave care under the guise of

I say leave Walmart alone. They have not become the number one retailer worldwide by accident or by the help of liberal socialists wishing to make America a shadow of the former and failed Soviet Union.

If Walmart doesn't pay enough, get another job, they are out there. If you don't like Walmart products, don't shop there. Lord knows there is no shortage of shopping places in America.

If this

grassroots movement of over 246,000 Americans who have joined together to fight for a better Wal-Mart
think they have a better plan, they are free and more than welcome to launch the business, with their own money, just as Sam Walton did.

For all the complaining about Walmart, their parking lots are pretty full.
