Just as the dems tried to shut down the Swiftvets film, so they are trying to do so with the ABC 9/11 miniseries.
There is a web petition at http://www.webpetitions.com/cgi-bin/print_petition.cgi?99500799 (or click here).
"The Path to 9/11" and Freedom of the Media
We support freedom of the media. Just as Michael Moore had the freedom to write and show "Fahrenheit 911", so does ABC have the right to show its Miniseries "The Path to 9/11" as it sees fit, without political interference.
We particularly find offensive the interference from the Democratic party, acting as totalitarians to "control the narrative" without regard to others' freedom of expression. _________________ "Millions For Defense, Not One Cent For Tribute" - Thomas Jefferson on paying ransom to Muslim corsairs (pirates). |

Nice to see who is always crying "censorship," but is always ready to "censor" anyone they disagree with or who shows them for who they are. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Well I also am glad to see their is a petition. Where was all the "censorship" regarding Michael "MORON" Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11"?
What a bunch of hypocrites. _________________

Thanks for finding and posting the petition link FDL.
Feels good to be doing something to counter this frustration.

Signed the petition. Also, sent a nice email to Disney thanking them for "The Path to 9/11" and asking that they not buckle to political pressure.

FDL,
Thanks for finding the petition.
It was a pleasure to put my (digital) signature to it.

Plan A is OK, but I don't think it would be all that effective.
Plan B, IMHO, is the way to go.
Encouraging and applauding people for actions they have already announced has always worked better for me than signing petitions. It's somewhat personal, and seems to be a lot more effective. |

I also thanked ABC for "Path" and urged them not to buckle to the Dem leadership letter threatening their broadcast license. (dastardly abuse of the power of their elected office!!)

Just a thought, but:
Wouldn't it be lots of fun to watch the competitive networks (especially NBC and CBS) either:
a) defend a decision by the democratic senators to attempt to pull the ABC license,
... or ...
b) attack their own food source by criticizing this
... or ...
c) try to pretend it wasn't happening
AND, were I a republican leader, I'd let the bill get to the floor FOR SURE |
