[quote="shawa"] Quote: | Kerry vows tougher stance on group that questioned war service
By Mike Glover, AP Political Writer | October 8, 2006
The group, financed by Texas conservatives, ran commercials questioning his record of being a decorated Vietnam veteran -- the centerpiece of his presidential campaign in 2004.

Hey Mike Glover, you forgot to mention me. I donated and I'm not even from Texas.
What a typical MSM distortion. |

I just checked on donating and the link say that SwiftVets are not accepting
donations. Also I got a message about an out of date security certificate.
Perhaps we should revisit the donations.
This might get the ball rolling early for what might be a foolish
attempt by Kerry to run.
Just a thought. I'm sure others are way ahead of this.
Cheers. |

The lawsuit was filed by Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation, VVLF. If you recall they were formed by some of the Swifties and POW headed by Bud Day. If you don't remember that, go to the home page at this site for more information.
Any way dontations to support the law suit shold be made at the VVLF site. Their donation page is working, I just made another donation.

Quote: | ...he don't give up easily nor does he take defeat very well. Again back to the NVA & VC, he will continue to use the tactic's learned from them keeping them in play way off in the distance.
With all these other distractions (Foley, RoNK, ect, ect, ect) going on, Kerry feels that he has an advantage and exploit it very carefully.Just like the punks & crews back in teh 'hood when they seek to extract revenge, he will do his very best to draw the Swift Vets & POW's out in to the open.
If he can accomplish it and he will try real hard, he'll take his cheap shots retreat into the cover of darkness (Like the NVA & VC) then watch gleefully while Soros and every known leftwing, rightwing dingbat crew on the face of this planet go for it. | is his version of the KGB useful idiot user instructions...I agree completely, like a golpher popping up unexpectedly, he'll keep turning up like a bad penny! Speaking of pennies, not being a gambler, other than one trip to Reno, one to the Bahamas and family reunion poker games, I'll be side stepping this bet!
Deuce
ps...oh, and I tried the TexasRadio site as well, but just got silence??? tried clicking the listen online link, still silence (of course I'm a dialup, so may just not have enough BW) |

Also, MoveOn while assumed to be DNC affliated is not,
If I am wrong I will post a public apology here.

There is plenty of evidence to the contrary. I supggest you investigate some of it before you apologize.
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/8/23/153719.shtml
From Democrats.org, a Web site of the Democratic National Committee, May 9, 2003:
“The Democratic Party is partnering with MoveOn.org, People for the American Way, Campaign for America's Future, and dozens of other groups representing millions of Americans to organize a massive public mobilization. On Wednesday, May 14, join us by calling and emailing your representatives in Congress to let them know that the majority of Americans oppose more irresponsible tax cuts that go overwhelmingly to the wealthiest sliver of Americans.”

“In their own words, DNC coordination with MoveOn.org,” noted a reader from Florence, S.C., one of several who sent this tip.

From the same Web site’s unironically named “Kicking Ass: Daily Dispatches from the DNC,” here’s the ultimate in hypocrisy last Nov. 13 from one of Vermont’s more extreme ideologues:
“Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, took a short break from the 30-hour Republican hypocrisy-a-thon to come and see the results of the DNC's petition drive. We collected more than 310,000 signatures and comments from Americans who stand with Senate Democrats in the fight to keep ultraconservative ideologues off the federal bench.”
An accompanying photo has this caption: “DNC Chief Operating Officer Josh Wachs (left), Senator Leahy, and Zack Exley from Moveon.org pose with the more than 310,000 signatures.”
In its push to obstruct judges who follow the U.S. Constitution, DNC admitted elsewhere on its site that same day, “The DNC is also conducting a major petition drive in partnership with MoveOn.org. More than 310,000 Americans have signed the petition to protect our courts — with more than 172,000 of those signatures coming in the past 36 hours.” _________________ "If he believes his 1971 indictment of his country and his fellow veterans was true, then he couldn't possibly be proud of his Vietnam service." |

Carpro? My sincere apogoly for not having made it that far into my checking.
The 310,000 signatories has me wondering. How many of those are registered to vote, let alone legal citizens of the US?
Hmmm..
Also Deuce...I'm making my $25 contribution next door for us at the VVLF. Bettings closed since ya sidestepped it
