Thought you all would like to read this board where Nancy Pelosi's Base is posting that Kerry was just telling the truth so he need not apologize. This is scary. This is who will be in power if Republicans don't vote.

Pelosi's Base: Kerry Was Just Telling The Truth
Update: Of course Jennifer Loven of AP fame gives Kerry equal ground, they're just trading barbs.
You knew it was coming, courtesy of the San Francisco Chronicle, the newspaper of would be Speaker Pelosi's home town and crowd. Remember, these are the people who keep sending Nancy Pelosi back to the House year after year.
Q: Should Kerry apologize?
Amy Altschul, Oakland
Why should a person apologize for telling the truth? The truth is, for those who are not educated, the military is one of their only outlets. This does not mean the people are stupid, it means they are uneducated. Their lack of education often means the military, which currently means Iraq.
Vernon Burton, San Leandro
For what? Telling the truth? If a few more so-called leaders started telling the truth about Iraq, maybe we could save some of those lives that are being thrown away for nothing.
Miriam Rosenau, Berkeley
No way. Since when are you supposed to apologize for telling the truth?
Richard Brinton, Salinas
It would be a step in the right direction if Kerry would apologize for being a spineless worm when it comes to confronting the bloody war-mongers in the White House. He actually doesn't have the heart or the will to challenge Bush on his war crimes and corruption. |

(shaking head sadly) wow - just wow! what is wrong with people?
30 yrs of propaganda taught in our schools etc....
and there were those antiwar people back in the 70's who became parents...
and raised their kids reinforcing this crap...
I did have one poster (elsewhere) respond to me about on incorrect statement that she'd learned it in a college class....
oh ! well, that sure makes it true!
I guess multiply that by millions x 30 yrs.... ugh! _________________ Stevie
