Some negative ads were made about McCain in Feb. 2000, long before the SBVT were formed. Of course, Bush got the blame for it all.
In 2004, it was McCain who came out swinging against the Swift Vets, before he even looked into their claims. He automatically called the Swifties "dishonest and dishonorable"

thanks Lew... I was sure it wasn't - but then, back then I didn't even know who the swiftboat vets were!!!
I did post in response to her post that I didn't think so since the sbtvets weren't a 'group' until shortly before the 04 election and that John didn't even write the book until early 2004 (my memory of it...)
I guess what I already posted will do then...
if she reposts I'll direct her to that article....
I just hate it when everything 'bad' is atributed to Bush or the SBvets
