Dear Lew,
We've been working hard to get to this moment. And, here we are -- we can see the finish line.
But, if we want to produce the Democratic victories our nation so urgently needs, you have one critical task left, and that is to get to the polls and vote.
It has been decades since there have been so many close, down-to-the-wire races for the Senate, for the House, and for critical state and local offices. Many of those races are close today because of what you and other members of the johnkerry.com community have done up to this point.
And now, many of those races will be finally decided by what you do in the time between now and the closing of the polls. Please call and email your friends, family and colleagues and ask them to vote on Tuesday. Don't let a single person you know let Tuesday pass without voting.
And there's still time to contact Democratic campaigns in your area to volunteer your time and be part of grassroots efforts to get out the vote.
This is our chance to take the power to lead America out of the Bush Republicans' hands. Winning means raising the minimum wage. Winning means moving towards health care for all, starting with every child in America. Winning means forcing an end to the disastrous war in Iraq, and getting our heroes home.
Winning means firing the incompetents, stopping the corruption, and making America stop being the world's leading denier of global climate change.
Let's get out and do it. You've been amazing all along. You've stood up. Stand up again. Your country is counting on you.
It's on to victory from here.

Would this be the same "heroes" that just last week were too stupid and uneducated to make it anywhere else?
Is this the same muderers and monsters as he labeled us in 1971? _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Good questions, Lew.
I think that hearing the senator attempt to answer them could even be mildly entertaining - I'd really like to hear a reporter ask him those same things. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

I think he must be referring to the cowards who deserted and are hiding in Canada. |

It is too bad that America gave Kerry exactly what he wanted.
And that bum Murtha defeated Irey. That should have never happened. |

Now that Kerry has been given this dem advance, his head will be so swollen that he may not be able to get it through the doors into the senate chamber. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

Do not, for a moment, think that Kerry won't try, at some point, to cash in on whatever political chips he thinks he collected pre-election. I'm convinced that the evolving Democratic leadership will tell him, in no uncertain terms, that his political viability and aspirations for higher office are a "botched joke". Oh, to be a fly on the wall when Kerry's ego pushes and the Democratic establishment shoves. |

"From sea to shining sea?" LOL, at just the title of that page.
I swear, he has no sense at all of the incongruity of phrases like that coming out of his mouth.

drudge has posted a picture of the giddy Dem Senate leadership parading through the halls. In the backgound is skerry watching. Drudge's caption is "priceless". It is something to the effect that skerry has to watch as the Dem Senate moves on without him. The picture is a matter of coincidence of timing and positioning. It will be interesting to see in reality how far into the background the Dem leadership pushes their "botched joke'. |

This is getting even better......
Quote: | What on Earth Did Schumer Say to Kerry?
November 14, 2006 6:38 PM
ABC News
ABC's Z. Byron Wolf Reports: For anyone who needed more evidence that Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) is out of favor with Democrats, it appeared that Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) kicked him out of the Democrats' leadership walk on Tuesday.
As the new Senate leaders departed from the Old Senate Chamber on their way to the Ohio Clock Corridor to talk about their agenda, the election of the leaders, and Iraq, John Kerry -- not a member of the new leadership -- walked out of the room behind new Majority Leader Harry Reid, Majority Whip Dick Durbin, Caucus Secretary Patty Murray and Caucus Vice-Chair Schumer. It is, after all, a public hallway in the Senate.
This reporter was standing with a scrum of journalists as Democrats left their caucus. It appeared that when Schumer noticed Kerry behind him, he turned around said something to Kerry.
We obviously don't know what Schumer said, but Kerry stopped in his tracks, watched the four Democratic leaders walk on without him, and when then he ducked between two of the marble statues in the hallway, which leads from the old Senate Chamber to the new Senate floor. Someone trying to project might say that Schumer had told Kerry to get the heck out of the leadership shot and Kerry, after digesting the request for a moment, did it.

Kerry’s looking less like a Democratic leader, and more like the little brother left behind by the cool kids.
