Did anyone hear that Bush went to visit the Vietnam War Museum today. I wonder if they removed John Kerry's picture before he visited?

............ Different museum:

Yahoo News wrote:

The president's last stop in Vietnam was a tour of the Ho Chi Minh City
history museum
where he and the first lady were treated to a drum and
dance. Dressed in bright red and gold costumes, the young performers
pounded kettle drums and waved bright flags as they stepped, turned and
ran about a stage outside the building. Bush bounced his head and tapped
his foot in time with the music.

Saigon City Guide wrote:

The History Museum is a well-rounded and informative presentation of
4000 years of Vietnamese history. The recent war takes a back seat here
and you will see sturdy French cannons, Khmer relics, ancient pottery and
bronze and even a local mummy. Water puppet shows entertain during the
busier hours. Since it is free of politics, it is probably the most professional
and academic museum in the city.

In the early Spring of 1970, I was enroute from Qui Nhon to Saigon for re-assignment with 2 other swifties from Qui Nhon. We were in Saigon about 10 days before going on to Cat Lo. While in Saigon we visited the Saigon Historical Museum and the Saigon Zoo. These were two of the most beautiful public places that I can remember in Viet Nam. If they are as well kept and picturesque now as they were then, either would be a fitting place for a head of state to visit.
