As several have mentioned here's a chance to actually help. See the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation. This is a foundation set up by POWs who joined forces with the SwiftVets in 2004, and who were in fact sued by Kerry surrogates over a documentary that spells out, in their own words, the effect Kerry's slanderous characterization of the troops in Vietnam had on them while they were in captivity in North Vietnam.
Depicted in the film were several "witnesses" from Kerry's and Jane Fonda's and the VVAW's "Winter Soldier Investigation," who claimed they were put in a "bad light" in the film by being shown while the narrator states that the "Winter Soldier Investigation" was full of frauds and liars; so they sued the POWs for libel.
When they had to make sworn depositions and face the possibility of a jury trial under oath, they bailed out of the suit . . . dropped it cold, after costing the POWs a fortune in legal defense fees. But they had accomplished their purpose: killing the distribution of the film ("Stolen Honor") just before the 2004 election, by threatening all the TV and theater outlets with becoming co-defendants in a libel suit.
But guess what, the POWs sued them back for malicious prosecution and the case will go to trial in Philadelphia, probably next year.
At stake is proof under oath that the Winter Soldier Investigation was dishonest. Finally . . .
For the sake of history, and for the sake of 2.5 million Vietnam War veterans who have lived with Kerry's slanderous cloud all their lives, think about supporting this effort. I also contributed to the SwiftVets and have contributed to the VVLF, and will continue to do so until this legal case drags the truth out of these weasels . . . finally.
