I'm not sure I like the term "Swift Goat Veterans for Truth".
Scott Stantis in today's cartoon of Prickly City takes a backhanded swipe at us and at the same time says we tell the truth.
I'm not sure how to react. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

Jack, I'm inclined to overlook the satirical play on words in light of the underlying sentiment.
By the way, and on a related note, there was a recent commentary published by one of the leading SVDS (Swiftvet Derangement Syndrome?) victims bemoaning a purported universal trend on the part of the MSM in failing to "properly" denegrate the Swiftvets at every mention of their name. The lefties are having some great difficulty, apparently, in making "Swiftboating" into a pejorative verb. It seems that the MSM, perhaps to their own chagrin, are recognizing that effective "Swiftboating" requires an important element...TRUTH.
Witness the recent ballyhoo over the much-anticipated "Swiftboating" of Giuliani by the firefighter union bosses. Can you say "lead balloon"?

Without the 'Swift' reference we'ld have missed the association that makes the satire work. Goat rhymes with boat but as well opens the implication that a goat's been gotten. I like it. _________________ "KILL ALL THE LAWYERS!"

Heah, I kind of like it too. Especially the truth part. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

I think Kerry's recent delusional statements on the wonderful outcome of the Vietnamese re-education (aka concentration) camps and the absence of a "bloodbath" need significantly more Swiftboating.
