I wonder whether the Swift Boat Vets have thought through how far they intend to take this if Kerry is elected president. I believe that this is such a serious and explosive charge that, if proven true to the satisfaction of the public, it could potentially sink Kerry's presidency. Why? Because he will have no credibility in the one area he needs it most, the war on terror. Our enemies will see him as a weak fraud, our allies will view him as a weak fraud (whom they can manipulate...but they may already see him as easy to push around--"I have big cards to play...but I'm not gonna tell you what they are." Mais, oui, bien sur mon petit chien.**) And our military will despise him, if most don't already given his abysmal voting recording on all things military, from pay and benefits to procurement.
I also believe that if the SBVs pack their bags and go home in November, O'Neill's book has ensured that this will not die. Whatever the outcome, people are riled up enough that he will be dogged and dogged until he releases those records. Personally, I think they must hide a multitude of sins or he would have released them already. The fact that he has deployed lawyers who themselves have lied in their letter says volumes. These people are scared.
But, I'd like to know...how far will this go after November?

This will not die until the honor of the Vietnam era 2.5 million veterans is restored. And the majority of the other 23.5 million veterans are rallying around them to make certain Kerry does not see the inside of the oval office. Do the math it comes out to about 520,000 veteran voters per state many who will be voting for the first time in many elections. WI voted for Gore by only 5000 votes and we have over 500,000 veterans. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

John Kerry = America's Kurt Waldheim http://www.stentorian.com/politics/warcrim.html

His international credibility will be zero. I am sure all those foreign leaders who want him elected prefer a weak U.S. President to work with.

Before we give the presidency up to this cheesy punk, shouldn't this web site have a headline that encourages everyone to register AND vote. Millions of veterans and a half-million active military personnel should rise en masse and be counted. It's not only important for this election but for the next one as well. If you think Kerry is scary, think how scary Hillary IS.[/u] _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |
