Quote: | Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Saturday, February 02, 2008
Rasmussen Reports
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday Hillary Clinton with an eight point lead in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It’s now Clinton 45%, Obama 37%. (see recent daily numbers).
In the race for the Republican Presidential Nomination, it’s John McCain at 30%, Mitt Romney at 30%, and Mike Huckabee at 21%. Ron Paul is supported by 5% of Likely Republican Primary Voters (see recent daily numbers). Romney leads by sixteen percentage points among conservatives while McCain has a two-to-one advantage among moderate Primary Voters.

Well, I'm not sure just what to make of this, but everything I click on is decidedly negative on the McCain candidacy (are my bloglinks THAT conservative?). Perhaps someone might share a few GOP "moderate primary voter" links that I might have overlooked?
Assuming that Romney support can only improve among "conservatives", what's the liklihood that McCain's lead can be sustained in light of all the anti-McCain heat being generated?
I'm not convinced that the "fat lady" has started singing...yet, but Huckabee's 21% is greatly harming Romney's competetiveness. |

Real Clear Politics is showing their "average of all polls" poll as;
National McCain + 12.4 Clinton + 9.8
I guess most of the folks answering those poll callers don't read the same blogs we do, .........
or listen to Rush or Laura Ingrahm or Ann Coulter or any other of the conservative talk shows. _________________ "In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of Europe may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home." --George Washington |

Good Lord, has it gotten down to this?
The only candidate that I don't intensely dislike is Huckabee, and I'm not fond of him much either. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

I am mystified by this turn of events and can only conclude that there is a large body of GOP voters about whom I am in the dark.
