|
|
Quote: | Democrats who think it's going to be a cakewalk into the White House next November had best remember one name: Condoleezza Rice.
John McCain is a formidable candidate in his own right, but if he has the political imagination to do it, he can cause the party of Jefferson and Jackson indescribable angst with Rice as his vice-presidential pick.
snip
With Rice on the ticket the Republicans are freed up to run a much stronger negative campaign against either Clinton or Obama because the Secretary of State provides them with cover against charges of sexism or racism.
snip
They can attack Hillary's experience claims as consisting of her being Bill's wife. They can challenge her boast that she is a strong, independent woman and paint her as a weak, hopelessly-in-love woman under the spell of a man subject not only to "bimbo eruptions" but also eruptions of smarmy deals with shady business figures. |

Condoleezza Rice.
Wow, that is quite insightful.
On the other hand, should he pick Lurch, my swift boat brothers and I would have to go to general quarters. _________________ Swift Boats - Qui Nhon (12/69-4/70), Cat Lo (4/70-5/70), Vung Tau (5/70-12/71) |

Rice is too smart to take the job. But if she did I'd hold my nose and vote for McCain. _________________ DLI 78

While you're in looking mode, here's something easy on the eyes...

America's Hottest Governor
At the risk of going a bit gubernatorial-tastic here at the GOP.com blog, I ask you, which party does America’s Hottest Governor belong to?
That’s right. It’s the GOP. And, according to Alaska Magazine, it’s because Gov. Sarah Palin is “wildly popular” and “more than just a pretty face.”

I've heard Rice mentioned before. I'd love to see the Clinton's and Obama squirm on this ticket. Better yet, the ticket should be Gov. Palin and Condie Rice! _________________ Gary Armitstead

She does nothing for me...
I heard Condi Rice will be running for Govenor of Texas...that is what her plans are. Who knows...my first choice would be Mitt Romney....we need someone who looks presidental...LOL...on top of that he would have a better chance of getting the economy of the ground, but as McCain does not like Romney that is not really a viable options...others I have heard are Joe Lieberman, Martinez, Rudy....and even Fred...so we will see. I do think he needs to pick someone young. _________________ Born to raise a little hell! |

Gov Palin just announced she is 7 months pregnant. Between being a mother again and running the State government I suspect she might have second thoughts about accepting the nomination and hitting the campaign trail but who knows? _________________ A Grunt
