My first thought on seeing this:"Ahhh, so do we get more propagandized weather now?" It's all global warming!!

You were the first to post that info, but you might not have been the first one with that thought. 
However, NBC is a dying brand, and I don't think that their salvation is going to be the Weather Channel. IMO, this is a desperation move by GE, NBC's parent company. The MSM is in decline.
