Oh man, just forward one of those emails to me with the full headers. Going to an email supplier is not enough, this sort of crap gets to go all the way back to their ISP.

Shut them down? You bet, but shut them down hard.

Go to above link and report this as spam. Maybe we can shut them down.

It seems Yahoo is getting hit with complaints. I sent an abuse report to Yahoo about the abusive email and within 10 minutes received this reply:

It appears our team has received previous copies of the email you are reporting. The following is a copy of an email I just sent to 52 national and local media outlets.

Quote:
Here’s a sample of the kind of trash that is being sent to members of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth bulletin board. It has been reported to their ISP’s and the FBI.

FYI - Below is a commentary I recently received from my daughter. So, I am passing it along just as a reminder about the gallantry and bravery of our soldiers. To my brothers who served in Vietnam, "WELCOME HOME BROTHERS"!!

Mary Anne Weeks

The best speech John Glenn ever made: short and to the point.

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they
do for a living. The following exchange between Senator John Glenn (D
-OH) and Senator Howard Metzenbaum (D - OH) is worth reading. Not only
is it a pretty impressive and impromptu speech, but it's also a good
example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the Armed
Services do what they do for a living. This IS a typical, though sad,
example of what some who have never served think of the Military.

Senator Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for the Senate
when you've never held a "real job?"

Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I
served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by
anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the Space
Program. It wasn't my check book, Howard, it was my Life on the line. It
was not a 9 to 5 job, where I took time off to take the daily cash
receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me . as I went the other day
... to a Veterans Hospital and look those men - with their mangled
bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job! You go with
me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows
and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee ... and you look
those kids in the eye and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job.
You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National
Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and
you watch those waving flags.

You stand there, and you think about this Nation, and you tell ME that
those people didn't have a job?

I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum... you should be on your knees every
day of our life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who
held a REAL job. And they required a dedication to a purpose - and a
love of country and a dedication to duty - that was more important than
life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country
possible. I HAVE held a job, Howard! --- What about you?"

For those who don't remember - During WW II, Howard Metzenbaum was an
attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA. Now he is a
Senator!

If you can read this, thank a teacher.... If you are reading it in
English, thank a Veteran.......

Swift Boat Vets are Dishonest, Dishonorable, UnPatriotic LIARS.

We are starting to Indentify this entire group of "Smear Boat Vets". We know you are not real vets or men who actually served in Combat, much like the Liars on your Ad in your book. As the book of lies against Senator Kerry is released next week, so shall we start releasing your emails and home phone #s and address's along with work phone #s when available. We want all Americans to know who is spreading these lies and funding them and to be able to contact you if they have questions.

Patriotic Veterans for Truth.

These guys are a piece of work.

They put forth The Poodle, a "decorated" vet. He's decorated, all right, in lace curtains to match his tiny little skivvies. Razz

The only "decoration" he actually

That if any of this hits any kind of "news" source it won't be the threatening e-mails that the misinformed malcontents send out that will be an issue...it will be the "timing" of our response to the illegal activity that will be put under scrutiny!!!

Very sad individuals...attack the messangers when the truth is revealed.

What I'me seeing is a mirror image of what we all went through in the 60's and early 70's.
It stunk then and it stinks now. (I'me being polite)
The difference now is that veterans are treated with respect so lets try to keep it that way. Telling the guy to f off in a mass e mail don't cut it folks.
Thats the stuff thats going to hit the news and start to give creditability problems to what we do stand for which is to keep the idiot from getting elected.
About me leaving my e mail address up there. Damned if I'me going to take it down for some fleabag. Let him e mail away I've got delete on the keyboard and his return address when he sends something.

And this we must NEVER allow.

I think you will notice a tremendous difference between then and now - there are millions of us who are aware of how public opinion was manipulated back then.

And we're at your backs, this time.

Yours and those of this next generation of soldiers, too!

They get them by clicking on your profile and then on your "email" link.

That's why it's a good idea to go into your profile and where it says, "Always show email," tick the "No" box. Smile

A third and fourth e-mail went out to most SWIFT Vets members last night and this morning. This guy really needs to find a quarter and go rent a used life. Smile The fourth one was from a different yahoo address but the same IP, so apparently with all the complaints, yahoo banned his first one. That http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/mail/cgi_spam_intl Yahoo spam complaint link is great. Smile

E-mails like this are encouraging I think. I'm glad when I get one because truly, it means we're winning. Who takes the time to harass someone that they do not deem is a threat to them? Politically, no one. It makes me think of the fact that a wounded animal is the most vicous and dangerous when it's pinned and backed into a corner. I really think this is what it happening to the kerry campaign is this. They are SCARED STIFF by these SWIFT Vets because they know the threat and they know it's real, and it's impossible to just brush off or discount. Otherwise, kerry would be directly challenging these guys and from what I've seen, he couldn't possibly be making reference to the Vets LESS than what he is. I really think the kerry campaign and his "followers" is scared to death and being vicious and hateful and slanderous is all they have left. Those things do not impress rational people who are truly unbiased and undecided, and they do not win out over the truth.
