I'm giving thanks to Dubya for keeping this country safe since 9/11. I'm also wondering what the next 4 Thanksgivings might add to that.
I wish all here a happy Thanksgiving too! _________________ No whiners! |

I suppose it goes without saying that I'm thankful for 4 years without (shudder) Kerry at the helm. We might have been looking at 4 MORE years of that self-absorbed, opportunistic, "wind-surfing dilletante" (thank you again Eleanor Clift). |

A personal online friend of mine was recently diagnosed with acute leukemia and given mere weeks to live. That has been restated to much more time for him, thankfully.
While I am most thankful that Roger has been granted more time, I am even more thankful for a letter he recently received.
It seems that one of the regular readers of his blog site knows some pretty high up people that passed on news of his situation.
He was shocked, astonished and grateful to open and read well wishes from Laura and George W. Bush.
He hasn't been perfect and he made mistakes and I disagreed with him often, but I too am thankful that it was him at the helm these last 8 years instead of either of the two opponents he defeated.
The letter my friend received reaffirms to me that inside, Bush is a decent and good person. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

I could not agree more. Both Dubya and Laura are a class act. I didn't always agree with him either, but, he's a gentleman, which is more than can be said for some others that held that office, or that have attempted to.
We probably don't need to count the silverware (furniture) when he leaves office either. _________________ No whiners! |
