I'd like to play a small part in teaching this liberal phoney a lesson.

Letterman reminds me of Willie Mays who was one of the greatest hitters of all time, but he didn't know when to retire. He tried to continue playing long after his body had worn out. Quarterback Johnny Unitas made a similar mistake. Those who didn't see them until near the end of their careers may have wondered why they ever were considered great.
Letterman is obviously over the hill and needs to leave before even his fans think he's a bum. _________________ "That awful power, the public opinion of a nation, is created in America by a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons who failed at ditching and shoe making and fetched up in journalism on their way to the poor house."
