Lest I forget, while I'm aware of Thomas Friedman's wordsmithing prowess at The New York Times, he deserves an Oscar for his over-the-top indignation at a patently over-baked leftist strawman...

Quote:
MR. FRIEDMAN: But David, you know, you said, it's a firestorm. And we live in the age of firestorms. You know, today, or this week, it's the president speaking in school. What it needs is for people to stand up and say that's flat out stupid, OK? That's flat out stupid what you're talking about. The president of the United States, addressing schoolchildren in this country to study hard, work hard because that's the way you advance in today's global economy. And instead of that, we kind of dance around it, you know. It's flat out stupid.

Meet The Press

His words alone don't do Mr. Friedman's thespian performance justice. Check out the video for Brokaw's strawman setup comments (around 30:13 in the video) and then watch the smoke coming out of Friedman's ears several minutes later.

#1, I just can't watch the BS that comes out of the MSM. It's all a mutual admiration society for anything liberal. I start screaming at my TV, and my blood pressure percolates!

At approximately 17:15 today, I happened to catch an interview conducted by CNN's Susanne Malveaux of Florida's GOP chairman (I didn't catch his name).

Whoever this guy was, he presented a textbook example of how to overwhelm a dedicated liberal's attempt to strawman the "Dear Leader" issue.

I hope I can find a video link. It was awesome.

Malveaux is a classic liberal. If he put her in her place, I'd love to see it.

Don't forget a roll of extra wide duct tape for that mouth of hers.
