Apparently a notion that the wheels might be coming off the AGW bus has precipitated a rather abrupt schedule change with Obama now electing to join the chorus of hosannas to AGWarmism at the close of Copenhagen.
He's apparently attempting to shore up the damage to the AGW movement suffered in recent days. Hopefully he'll have to become well-practiced in the skillset.
Quote: | Obama Delays Trip to Climate Summit to Be ‘Most Productive’
By Nicholas Johnston and Jim Efstathiou Jr.
Dec. 5 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama will delay his trip to a climate-change summit in Copenhagen until Dec. 18, the close of the sessions, when his participation will be “most productive,” an administration statement said.

update: Greg Pollwitz at "Planet Gore" offers a less encouraging plausibility however, excerpting this from "enviro mag Grist"....
Quote: | A couple of hours ago, the Obama administration announced a startling shift in plans: rather than stop by the Copenhagen climate talks on Dec. 9, Obama will be going on the 18th, the final day of the meeting — a notable increase in commitment (and political exposure) from the administration.
<snip>
If he’s willing to stick his neck out like this, Obama must be pretty confident that he can get a deal. There have been signs of momentum for weeks now. The much-discussed deal with China was just one in a raft of commitments from the developing countries, including India and Brazil. Movement from the developing world has undercut one of U.S. conservatives’ principal arguments for inaction.

According to Lord Monckton, this is all part of an orchestrated smoke screen to make it appear the conference will fail. They will hold an all night last minute session and emerge the next day all bleary eyed but claiming they have resolved all issues and will produce a treaty or agreement that Obama and others will sign. It is a complete scam, and it will result in more transfer of wealth from the West to "developing nations", including China, which will have NO restrictions on their emmissions and will receive billions of dollars from the West to clean up their aging poluting factories and power plants. No oversight will be allowed except for those instances where the West pays for specific site cleanup, and the Chinese will have final say on whether the sites meet the target goals.
Even some Democrat Senators (Jim Webb, for example), have warned Obama not to make any unilateral commitments on behalf of the US because the Senate has to ratify them. Sadly, this Senate would ratify a baloney sandwich. |

If all we have between us and this scam is the integrity of the Dem controlled US Senate, we are toast! _________________ No whiners! |

I heard he changed his plans since there were no big Limo's left.
Seems the Climate ministers that want us all to conserve , by riding bikes & taking mass transits like to travel in comfort.
no busses from the airport for these guys, they had to bring in limo's from other country's to meet the demand.
Sorry to report there has been no fat Al sightings . _________________ Leeman
