April 19 is the anniversary of two historical events, the siege leading to total destruction of the Branch Davidian Mount Carmel Center at Waco, Texas on April 19, 1993, and the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. It is also the anniversary of my mother's birthday.
I was born near Waco and know some of the people in law enforcement who were involved with the events there, although I have not followed up on anything beyond what was reported in the media. My wife has relatives who lost friends in the OKC bombing, and two of her cousins were involved with the recovery efforts. I have a tribute page on my website if anyone would like to view photos of the Memorial and the Memorial Museum and learn a little about the site. Nothing "graphic", just informational, and nothing political.
