John O'Neill comments on Newt Gingrich's perceived diss of the Swiftvets with his "Romney-boated" response to a reporter query. I think all here will find both the NRO article and the associated comments to be of interest.

It's particularly gratifying to see Bill Dyer of "Beldar Blog" once again rising to the defense of the Swiftvets. Good On Ya Bill!

Swiftboating: Exposing the lies, deceit and fraud of self-glorifying public officials or candidates for public office who exaggerate their military service by lying about feats of heroism or combat wounds.

Variations keeping the same basic core definition but applied to other classes of scoundrels would probably be acceptable....

Let us remember that not one allegation against Kerry was ever disproven or even brought into reasonable doubt.

So, Newt thinks that every single allegation made by the Romney camp is 100% true?

Newt may as well pack it in. He isn't as well liked as he might think and this doesn't improve his chance a bit.

How can we ever forget him sitting on a couch with Nancy Pelosi trying to sell us on the Global Warming nonsense?

Well, not to be outdone by himself with Pelosi, Newt has doubled down and will appear at a Joint Rally in South Carolina with Dem Jim Clyburn, SC's ONLY Dem Rep....as Porky Pig used to say, "badeh, badeh, badeh, That's All, Folks".
