PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY is what I think Kerry has accomplished.
So I've heard the accounts of Kerry shooting a young VC sniper...and a young kid in a sanpan. Kerry has admitted the free fire zone incidents.
So he got back home...joined the anti war movement...admits his responsibility and gives a blanket statement that that beheadings, cutting off of ears, burning villages, rape, etc., etc. happen all the time. I guess logic follows that if everyone else did it...then Kerry's participation is forgiveable.
War crimes have no statute of limitations...perhaps his immediate crew knowing that fact have chosen to cast their lot with Kerry. _________________ kerry returned to the United States on July 22, 1971, held a press conference publicly calling on President Nixon... for the surrender of the United States to North Vietnam. |

Kerry must be stupid to go before a congressional hearing and proclaim himself to be a war criminal. Why didn't congress investigate his claims and prosecute him? |

Reason
#1:How many dem were in congress at the time?
#2:VietNam fatigue, congress didn't want more demonstrations

If they're still chasing Nazis, most of whom are now a minimum of 80, 50+ years after the fact, surely they should be able to get John Kerry for war crimes. They have a taped confession in front of a Senate committee, and his books and his Dick Cavett show appearance.
Better yet, they should go for Treason. Meeting with the NV and VC reps in Paris while the war was still in progress. Is there a statue of limitations on Treason? Maybe they could throw in Hanoi Jane, along with Hanoi John, and try them both together. _________________ Ed Liptak

Carmen, sweetie, "open-minded" people, regardless of party affiliation, do not accuse President Bush of lying because they know it's been proven that he did not lie.

You just have to wonder why these "open-minded" people don't hold Senator John F. Kerry to the same standard. Kerry certainly had the same information President George W. Bush had, but somehow only Bush "lied" about Saddam Hussein's WMD's! Ridiculous.
At any rate, it isn't about stockpiles of WMD's. It is about preventing Hussein from giving anything to terrorists, to use against us and give Hussein plausible deniability in it. That is what President Bush said before we went in there.
We now know Hussein had over 2 tons of nuclear material that could have been used in dirty bombs. We know that there was some Sarin and Mustard agent in Iraq. We know that terrorists were training in WMD manufacturing at Salman Pak in Iraq. It is undeniable that going into Iraq was the right thing to do, and even Kerry admits that, now.
But Kerry still wants to be on both sides of that issue. If he is elected, we will certainly have more trouble in the next four years than it would otherwise be. We must do our duty to keep Kerry out of our White House! _________________ Richard Stauch
