Sir, how do you defend Kerry, who blew away a wounded Vietnamese soldier by shooting him in the back, and similarly killed millions of Vietnamese by causing the U.S. to pull out of Vietnam?

Why didn't Kerry ever apologize for telling Congress that only a few thousand would need to flee the Vietcong after we pulled out?

Why won't he own up to the genocide to which he contributed?

''I still don't think he shot the guy in the back," Elliott said. ''It was a terrible mistake probably for me to sign the affidavit with those words. I'm the one in trouble here."

Chain Lightning:

To use one of your little tricks, let's boldface a DIFFERENT sentence:

Quote:
HOFFMANN: Well, I can tell you that I did not know Kerry personally. I didn't ride the boat with him. But I was on many combat missions with boats in the same group against the same enemies at the same time, and I know enough about Kerry to feel very confident that he is not qualified.

Did you serve on a Swift boat with Kerry? If not, you're even LESS qualified to make comments than the people you are saying aren't qualified.

I wasn't there (and couldn't have been there), but I believe that people who served with him, even though they weren't on the same boat, are qualified to speak.

Independent, my foot. You appear to be "locked and loaded," to borrow a phrase used on another board.

Chain Lightning,

Um, that's from JULY... I suspect that map will change many times between now and the election.

The Swift boat thing has just hit and the Republican convention is yet to come. There will be ads from both sides.

Bottom line is that it matters not what the map looked like in July. The only thing that matters is the election.

Sigh..

A third sign of this poster's sharing a major attribute with Kerry: sticking his foot in his mouth whenever given an opportunity.

Notarized Affadavit of Cmdr. George Elliott refuting the Boston Globe Article (“Veteran Retracts Criticism of Kerry”)

That makes three. Want to go for four?

Just two questions about Kerry. Anyone can answer.

1. Did he or did he not go into Cambodia?
2. Will be release his military records?

Those answers will determine whether there is any substance here.

I am majorly disappointed with the quality of the Left's discourse on this board.

At least they should challenge us intellectually.

However, as a university instructor who emphasizes critical thinking skills, all I see is sub-highschool-level debate coming from the Left. The following characteristics seem universal: incorrect and/or incomplete facts that are easily researched, and character attacks.

Pretty pathetic.

Who needs the support of grumpy old sad republicans. Kerry has the support of 12 Generals/Admirals.

That makes four (4) attempts to cause this poster to argue the facts the SwiftVets have presented, which he refuses to do.

Time for this poster to go bye-bye.

Again, an answer to these two questions from either side about Sen. Kerry.

1. Did he or did he not go into Cambodia?
2. Will be release his military records?

The answer to both those questions will determine whether this story is damagaing or not to the senator.

One last time.

Again, an answer to these two questions from either side about Sen. Kerry.

1. Did he or did he not go into Cambodia?
2. Will be release his military records?

The answers will determine whether or not this is a major scandal or a tempest in a teapot.
