According to SmearVets, publicly criticizing US soldiers for war crimes is proof you're unfit to serve, right? So when will you guys be launching your smear campaign against Rumsfeld?
Oh wait... he's a Republican. |

That's a good point. There is a major difference, however:
Pictures.
Rumsfeld couldn't follow his conservative inclination to deny the torture because of the pictures. Before the pictures, he sure denied it.
Kerry is to be blamed for not maintaining the "code of silence" that people in uniform expect from others who know of their crimes. |

Your name is illuminating. Is that why you are here? _________________ "If he believes his 1971 indictment of his country and his fellow veterans was true, then he couldn't possibly be proud of his Vietnam service." |

Just volunteering a more accurate name for this Republican campaign. After all, it's backed by the same GOP "image consultant" responsible for smearing John McCain, an honorable and highly respected Vietnam veteran, in 2000... and it's trying desperately to smear John Kerry, another Vietnam veteran now. |

It's an obvious and unqualified "no". I'm here because the Swift Boat Veterans for Bush and their backers have chosen to smear Vietnam veterans for political purposes, and as an American I'm disgusted by it.
How about addressing THAT issue, instead of trying to attack someone willing to speak freely about it? |

If thats true, I'd consider a name change. It gives the wrong impression. _________________ "If he believes his 1971 indictment of his country and his fellow veterans was true, then he couldn't possibly be proud of his Vietnam service." |

LMAO
Smear Vietnam Vets? Who?
Only two Vietnam era veterans are being discussed here. John F. Kerry and George W. Bush. And only John F. Kerry spent any time in Vietnam.
And JF Kerry has smeared himself, over and over, with his own words, his own actions. What else do you call meeting with Madame Binh? What else do you call going on TV and claiming to have committed atrocities? What else do you call lying to the US Congress? What else do you call taking part in a meeting that discusses the assassination of US Senators and not reporting it? What else do you call turning his back on US POWs?
The only smearing to be done has been done, by Senator Kerry. To himself. _________________ De Oppresso Liber |

If Iraq war veterans want to go after Rummy, let 'em. Prosecuting the guilty parties is not the same as accusing every one there of atrocities and /or war crimes. I'll let them decide that issue. _________________ "If he believes his 1971 indictment of his country and his fellow veterans was true, then he couldn't possibly be proud of his Vietnam service." |
