Has anyone dug into the Bronze Stars Kerry's crew got whilst he was procuring his Silver Star? One of the posts on this site said he and his crew in that minor action received the most medals of any of the Swift Boats. What exactly were the circumstances? Who put the crew in for the medals - Kerry? |

Since it was the other boats that picked up the crew of the Swift Boat that hit the mine, why do we hear nothing about their bronze stars for that same incident?
Another question, just how did Rassman manage to fall off of Kerry's boat? Kerry's wasn't the one that hit the mine. Being Army, I don't know much about the boats and how they operated, but it seems to me he must have fallen overboard due to Kerry throttling up to leave. That would explain Kerrys saying he "returned" to rescue Rassman. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Lew,
I thought Rassman fell off one of the other boats (the one hit by the mine, maybe) along with the other two guys. Kerry left and then came back.
But my memory may not be correct. I've been reading a ton of stuff on this board the last couple of days and it's not clear. |

I understood Rassman to say, tonight on O'Reilly, that he was a passenger on Kerry's boat. O'Reilly called him a gunner and Rassman corrected him.
I could be wrong, but that is what I understand it to be. _________________ Clark County Conservative |
