McCain-Feingold campaign finance law, special interest groups are prohibited from running corporate-funded radio and TV ads that mention a candidate's name within 30 days of a primary or 60 days of a general election.
will this law effect the swift boat aid or the moveon people?

The law contains an exemption for 527 groups, so-named after the tax code section that defines them.
MoveOn.org, Americans Coming Together are 527s.
Swift Boat Veterans For Truth is a 527.
