Can someone please set the record straight, once and for all, about what happened on March 13, 1969 on the Bay Hap River.
I've read three conflicting stories about that incident, particularly about what happened to Jim Rassmann. In one version, he was aboard PCF-94. In another version, he was aboard PCF-3. And now, I've found a third version stating that he was aboard PCF-35.
It is physically impossible for this guy to have fallen off of three different boats at the same time.
1) Which boat was Rassmann aboard when he went into the drink?
2) What was the source of the "second explosion" that Rassmann claimed blew him over board? Was their even a "second explosion" at all?
3) What were the five boats involved in this incident and what were their relative positions to PCF-3 when it was disabled?
4) Where was PCF-94 when PCF-3 was disabled by the mine?
Can someone provide a timeline of events? _________________ Frenchy's News and Commentary Blog

Okay. This puts Rassmann on PCF-3 when she was disabled by the mine. Then why does Rassmann claim he was on PCF-94 with Kerry at the time? And why does the Kerry website put Rassmann on a boat "behind Kerry's" at the time.
Is there anyone who was aboard PCF-3 that can confirm Rassmann was aboard on March 13, 1969?
I'm not trying to start any fights here. I'm just trying to get the story straight. _________________ Frenchy's News and Commentary Blog

Yes. It was one of the first places I looked. The letter explains a great deal, but at they say, the devil is in the details. The one detail I haven't been able to confirm is exactly which boat Jim Rassmann was on when the PCF-3 was disabled by the mine.
Another set of details I can find almost no information on is what the relative positions of all the boats were to PCF-3 when the mine exploded.
And a final detail: Was there or was there not a second explosion? _________________ Frenchy's News and Commentary Blog
