I'm sure we knew some of the same photo weenies. Seems like we had one on about every mission we flew. Our AC was Tim Hughey and co was Jim Stahlke. Talk about a couple of partiers!! We fought hard but we also played hard. BTW, were you a Doc in the AF!, a Flight Surgeon? Had a couple of those guys fly with us for 'time', too. Good to hear from some of the old guys. Man, talk about flashbacks. hehe

Somehow we've "mis-mecunicated!"

I was a 601st "Still Photo" weenie, flyin' Specter missions for "time"!!!!!

Dr E,

I got ya. lol Hell, we may have flown some together. I was an A1C then
and my name here is accurate. I chain smoked 10 cent a pack Marlboros. (Long since quit, though) Did you get to keep any of your photos? I used to have a bunch, but, in 78 during my separation before divorce, all my memorabilia stuff was mysteriously destroyed by water that 'backed up into the garage'. *****

GunnerMike,

heh. I'm bettin' we did. I was an E4, headed for Syracuse to finish my BA as a Photojournalist... that didn't quite work out. Apparently my grasp of military politics was somewhat lacking. I lost my sense of humor 'cause of that...

And, yes I do have a lot of photos. Most went to records, but I kept a bunch of the "out-takes" for meself ;-}

You were there when one A1C Jimmie Alley (601st) did a Brodie out of a Jolly Green (high bird) while shooting a SAR mission, I'm guessin'. He's on that damned wall too. Sheesh... lotsa memories are manifesting themselves now. Ubon Hotel schmorgasboard on Thursday nights... All you can eat, two bucks a head. The on-base Thai restaurant that had rock lobster (more like mud bugs, really) to die for... as long as you ordered a 'double'!
