Incidentally, I was just watching the Beltway Boys. Today it was Fred Barnes and Juan Williams, and they mentioned SwiiftVets for about a minute.
Basically, Fred's opinion is: "Here's what I think the press's obligation is: If charges come out that have some substance behind them, the press needs to check it out.... The press is derelict in its duty.... Why won't he do do a Form 180?"
Juan can be summed up with: "I think this IS a smear campaign.... Everyone has checked this out. The US govt has checked this out.... It's a smear."
I'd like to invite Juan back from Planet Carville to join the rest of us earthlings. |

Jane Hall (a professor from AU) basicly slandered SBVT. She said this is the same group that did in McCain and that SBVT is lying about everything.
Some other academic looking guy pointed to the factcheck.org as proof that everything in the ad is baseless.

who ever locked the thread...made me lose the notes I was taking as the segment was going on.....if you could do clean ups a little less pro-actively.
hard for me to retype it all again.
but.
Woman was saying the Boston Globe story again of the supposed retraction.
Guy claimed the media should not cover it any more, it too covered already.
The irony of the entire show is the clear bias of the spinners on the show.
They also pointed people to Factcheck.org as a way to discern the truth of the ad.
As I have posted before factcheck.org is very very biased in its review |

Neal Gabler started out with a movie review show with Jeffrey Lyons. Now he's a media writer.
He and Jane Hall are the liberals on that program.
