It's nice to put some info with posters here. I usually read alot but don't post much because put my thoughts have been written down already, much better than I probably would have.
I was an Electronics Technician in the Navy. Didn't get to finish my enlistment before I was medically discharged. My husband is still in the Navy, going on nine years now. He is an E6, also an Electronics Tech.
I'm glad to be here and thank you for allowing me to be. _________________ Orolonn |

Hello All,
I am a U.S. Navy Vietnam "Era" Vet. 1967-1970. I was a BT2 aboard the USS Hartley(DE-1029), It was part of CINCLANTFLEET Cortron 8, which served with the Essex & (occasionally) Yorktown in the North Atlantic, North Sea, Artic Circle and, of course the Standard Med & Red Cruises of that era.We were homeported out of Newport, R.I.. I subsequently became a Chief Engineer of Motor Vessels, U.S. Merchant Marine in Oil Industry related Vessels, worldwide.(AHTS's).
Mr. Willard Wilson, Jr., the Shipyard Rigging Superintendent at Sewart Seacraft, Berwick,La. (the company that built all of the Swiftboats), is a close personal friend. He was my mentor as I grew up in the Marine Industry. There are a number of issues regarding Marine Engineering that do not add up when one considers John Kerrys claims. My participation at your site will attempt to find answers to those concerns.
