I've never seen them do that, before.

But, they've also revised their setup so that you can no longer leave an "anonymous" review.

Maybe they've revised it to the point that you must have purchased the book through them before you can review it.

Would only make sense, but there were some EXCELLENT and comprehensive reviews there, yesterday, so it's sad to lose all of those. Some of them would have definitely convinced me to buy it, if I hadn't, already.

The negative reviews were clearly non-readers and Kerry hacks.

I gather what people are saying is that reviews were actually removed, not that they were not posted, after a few days.

Look at the Passion DVD, on amazon. Obviously it hasn't shipped. But there are over 1000 'reviews'. And they haven't been purged.

I've never seen 100% of all reviews of a product deleted by Amazon before. I've been a customer of Amazon for over four years and this is a first. I cannot figure this one out.

Not only have they been removed, but the review by Amazon.com has been revised.

When I read it yesterday it had a little snippet about the information in the book "being somewhat flimsy". Cannot find that snippet today.

Yesterday I was able to rate how effective the review (about 14) was to my decision to buy the book. Today, no reviews.

And, the book doesn't show up on my Welcome or personal page. I have to do a search or look under Bestsellers.

This will be the last time I buy from Amazon.com (actually thought I was buying from Borders but then realized they are part of Amazon). Was upset with B&N when they had wrong picture on cover so I went to Borders to order and ended up at Amazon. What a tangled maze everthing seems in today's world.

Wow!

I got the book yesterday, and read it .... this morning, I've already posted a review on Amazon dot com, and incidentally, have shot off an e-mail to the Philly newsrag.

And, it's not even 7:30 CST, yet!

P.S. BTW, to turn a review on this one, you have to give some permutation of your real name ... i.e., full first name, first initial, etc. I feel strongly enough that I did that, for the first time online. If it gets posted and I get ANY harassment at all, I assure you, there will be an immediate fuss about it.

Twice they have deleted ALL reader reviews.

Just yesterday, with over twenty reviews, the average rating was 4 1/2 stars

Today, after deleting all reviews and adding only reviews by Kerry non-readers

The average rating is exactly what you would suppose: 1 star (lowest)

But there is one thing they cannot express their prejudice against.

It's still the number one best seller!

Now Amazon has posted nine one-star reviews. Rather than getting mad at Amazon--the DU and other left-wingers have done everything imaginable to this fairly neutral outlet--I wrote a letter to customer service. The email addresss appears on the review guideline page. I simply asked them to restore those deleted reviews that met their guidelines, and asked them to look at what has now happened.

Amazon is fair, but it's a private company prone to left-wing blackmail.

Yes, you are right Jack. It is the work of juvenile DU spammers/hackers

But unlike the Barnes and Noble hack, Amazon is compounding the error
by fostering chaos in executing the priority of shipping the book orders

This is a classic case of pen-to-paper-to-empty-mind. For example, one
could read the following and, if enough people said it, end up believing it
despite all the official documented evidence to the contrary and
eyewitnesses who were actually there.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"A few months ago, just as John Kerry began to dominate the Democratic
presidential primary races, John O'Neill lay in bed at Houston's Methodist
Hospital, recovering from surgery he had undergone to donate a kidney to
his wife, Anne. It's rare that a husband can successfully donate organs to
his wife, but the O'Neills were lucky, because it turns out that John O'Neill
had married his own sister 30 years ago. Facts behind the mysterious
coupling were not readily available, but it is believed that she was the only
woman he could get, so...he was eager to donate the kidney, even though
it meant an operation that would leave him weak and sickly..."

-----------------------------------------------------------
All one would have to do is have an affidavit sworn and faxed from
Creative Response Concepts in Alexandria, VA. (even though the fax
originated in AL, TX, FL, or DEL). It's not hard to do and people are so
gullible they will believe anything they read. Meanwhile, why is this book
in the non-fiction section, again?

5 Stars at the moment - ONE review.

This is ridiculous. In the past 1/2 hours or so, it's changed numerous times.

I sent the following to Investor Relations:
ir@amazon.com
>>>>>>>
What is going on with the Customer Review page for Unfit For Command???????

Yesterday there were over 20 reviews for an overall 4-1/2 rating.

Today, there are only 9 reviews (ALL WITH A 1 STAR RATING????).

Please look into this. All reviews have been deleted atleast twice.

Either you're getting hacked: Not good for an E-Business dealing with credit cards.
Or
Someone working with Amazon is doing this: Not good for any business!

I think it's an inside job.

I've never seen reviews deleted by amazon before. We know that BN was hacked by Kerry supporters, could they have hacked amazon and deleted some reviews?

John O'Neill needs to mention this when he next is interviewed.

Here is the email I sent to Amazon.com --

I've been a long-time customer of Amazon and currently have three separate Amazon Associate accounts.

I'm very concerned about the security of my credit card and my account. Either you are being hacked or you have employees that are doing damage to your reputation and credibility.

There have been countless deletions of reviews for John O'Neill's book, "Unfit for Command." I posted a review, which was never published and have sent it in a second time.

So, tell me, are you being hacked or does Amazon have a hidden political agenda?

I'm serious, I'm very concerned about your security and may cancel all my Amazon Associate accounts and use B&N’s affiliated program instead. If I do that, then I need to explain to my customers the reasoning for my switching affiliated accounts – simply, that Amazon.com has a serious security breach.

So, I hope I receive a valid response and not an auto-responder to my serious inquiry.
