MATTHEWS: ... straight—Dick Cheney is probably the man most responsible for the fact we‘ve had troops in Saudi Arabia for 10 years. That‘s what drove the terrorists to attack the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. They were angry that their own holy lands were besmirched—basically, dumped on by the United States for 10 years.

That sensitivity might have saved us a horror, knowing how angry those people would be about us putting our troops, 10,000 troops in the holy land near Mecca and Medina. Why is it stupid to be sensitive to those kinds of insults to a country?

Matthews is full of crap, as usual. Motormouth has goten it only partly right. He's always got part of the answers- the part he wants you to hear.

Bin Laden said there were three reasons fo r attacking the US:

1. Presence of bases in Saudi
2. Desecrating the shrines in Kuwait and Iraq
3. Invading of Iraq in the first war

Those bases have been there a LONG time. No one was asking us to get out. The Royals needed the US to protect them.

If he does not like you or you do give him the answer he wants, Matthews interrupts incessantly. I cannot STAND him. I have emailed him several times suggesting he have a cup of shut the f*** up.

Matthews is a yellow-bellied motormouth who hates Dick Cheney, Doug Feith, Don Rumsfeld and George Bush. He called Laura Bush a "suicide bomber" last week (twice), and dissed John O'Neill big time.

Never ever look for fairness from Matthews. He is a partisan hack that who will criticize the military every chance he gets.
