My quick letter to Judicial Watch's President & CEO
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Fitton,
As a member of the swiftvets.com forum it was very good news for me to learn through their forum that your organization has initiated an investigation of Senator Kerry's activities, both during his period in Viet Nam and his VVFW activities after the conflict. Your organization's undertaking of this matter really means a lot to so many veterans who were maligned by the Senator's comments. It is the belief of many that the Senator's embellishments of his service do a great disservice and injustice to those who truly deserve recognition.
Sincerely, _________________ kerry returned to the United States on July 22, 1971, held a press conference publicly calling on President Nixon... for the surrender of the United States to North Vietnam. |

When you hear the beating of a drum
When you hear the roaring of a gun
And when you hear of news of a battle fought and won
There will be a hot time in the old town tonight

Ouch! I hope Judicial Watch is expeditious and relentless on this. I also hope they don't buy into any of the "summaries" being released by the Kerry Kamp.

My guess?
No response. DOD is not going to touch this with a ten-foot pole, any more than they'd do with that online petition to prosecute Kerry for war crimes.
These things are only beneficial in that they will make people THINK.
Unless they've already drunk the Kool Ade, of course. You're not going to dissuade an ABB'er with anything, including treason. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Mr. Fitton's e-mail to me
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Mr. ******:
Thanks for your email and, of course, for your service and the service
of all your fellow veterans. We're pleased to try to hold Sen. Kerry to
account and we hope that the Navy and the Defense Department get on the ball and initiate an investigation.
Thank you.
Yours truly,
Tom Fitton
Judicial Watch

My asking Mr. Fitton's permission to copy e-mail
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Fitton,
Thank you for your response to my e-mail. If it ok with you I would like to copy your e-mail and post it on swiftvets.com under the Judicial Watch thread. I will wait for your reply.
I would also like to mention that it is curious that the major media has yet to acknowledge the involvement of Judicial Watch in this matter. I wholeheartedly wish you all the success in finding out the total truth, no matter what it is.
Sincerely,
-------------------------------------------------------
Go ahead and post it. I'm sure some media will eventually pick up on
it.

I commented about this today < http://www.beldar.org/beldarblog/2004/08/judicial_watch_.html > on my blog, and it was quickly picked up by InstaPundit with a link to my site (meaning about 5000 page views in the next two hours). An alert reader had emailed me to alert me to the Judicial Watch press release after reading about it here on the SwiftVets forums, and I'm grateful for the heads-up! |
