I just saw him in a clip on Fox and he claims that SBVT is funded with "hundreds of thousands" of dollars from a Republican. Since when did $100,000 magically transmogrigy into "hundreds of thousands".
The other claims he made were similarly false or embellished. Where have we heard that before.
I haven't heard him denouncing Michael Moore and F9/11 or MoveOn.org. |

| That clip was filmed in Boston....seems he waited to speak directly about SBVT until AFTER the papers filed that GARBAGE this am....looks to me like he went "home" to circle the wagons...and all his lackeys are falling in lock-step behind him...it WILL get worse. |

Actually that is our ray of hope. Kerry clearly doesn't get it. President Bush has nothing to do with the SBV4T. Never did. That will be his undoing....but I am fretting right now. The iron is hot and the wires will want to hear what O'Neill has to say....but only for a few hours. After that we will all be considered liars and ignored regarldess....

That's only true if SBV4T can give a counterstatement TODAY. If they can, this becomes a major win because now Kerry must face us directly. If they don't, then I am sorry to say that we are basically dead in the water....I am really fretting....the longer this goes on without a response, the worse it gets.

| I'm sure O'Neill has people monitoring the media who will get back to him. Remember how fast he turned around with that letter in response to the lawsuit threat? And didn't someone else say there was a strategy meeting recently? WaPo is very much available in the area where the strategy meeting was held. |

Ok here's a few questions for the Kerry camp.
If this is all just a "dirty tricks" campaign by the Republicans with
Bush secretly behind it then how come:
* There is a full book soon to be on every best seller list about it???
* 60+ SwiftVets have contributed eye witness accounts?????
* 6000-8000 people have contributed from all walks of life????

Oh, I think Kerry knows that President Bush has nothing to do with the SBVFT ads.
The Kerry camp is trying to deflect the power of the ad away from Kerry, and in the process have it cause collateral damage to the Republicans. It is a matter of "appearances," and the fact that so many non-politicos cast their votes based on which campaign latches on to the most effective sound-bytes.
As nihilistic as it sounds, the Dems. are not concerned with the TRUTH only the "appearance" of truth.
